It is a fourth floor of about 60 square meters, part of a perfectly restored historic building found few steps from the San Tomà Vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal, a spot adored by Venetians for its strategic position and quietness: in fact, it takes few minutes' walk to reach all the most important city landmarks. Just across the Grand Canal there is the San Marco District, while in the surroundings there are plenty of specialty shops and supermarkets, beside excellent restaurants and bars. The area is not too crowded but is very active both culturally and socially.
The lay out of the Dandolo is very rational: from the entrance room you can access the bedroom with a queen size bed and a wardrobe, the luxurious bathroom with large shower cabin, and the comfortable living room with a single sofa-bed and great panoramic view.
Walking through the living room you can access the spacious kitchen, which opens on the stunning terrace. You can use the terrace as a sundeck during the day or as an open-air dining room: in summer you can shelter it from the sun with an easy-to-use awning, while if you prefer to sunbathe there are two comfortable deckchairs.
A special mention goes to the bathroom’s marbles: it has been crafted with the essence of Carrara, Calacatta Macchia Oro, a unique and precious material with golden veins used since the Renaissance also for Michelangelo’s projects.
The caring landlady decorated her apartment with an interesting collection of artistic Murano Glasses, important contemporary art paintings and much sought-after furniture. The Dandolo is offered to our privileged guests in spotless conditions, equipped with every sort of comfort, including Wi-Fi, air-conditioning system, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, a set of professional cooking stoves, large fridge and freezer, etc.

A beautiful, light, quiet and spacious apartment in a fantastic location. The view from the large terrace across to the Basilica S. Maria Gloriosa dei Frari is wonderful, though the weather meant we did not use it as much as we would have liked. The area (San Polo) is for us the best in Venice, slightly off the beaten track yet within easy walking distance to almost anywhere you might want to visit. Great cafes and a small supermarket just round the corner. The bedroom is very small but the large living area, full of beautiful art books, makes up for this. We had a great time in this apartment and would definitely choose to stay here again.

Very nice top floor apartment. all newly renovated with fine taste and style. The terrace really made it exceptional. Very close the grand canal and vaporetto.
Spent a few days here in May and it was ideal. Great location, amenities were great and the place was super clean. A perfect place to rest up (once you've climbed the stairs) after a long mooch around the city. A couple of our favourite chiccheti bars in very close proximity too!
Lovely apartment with great view. We really enjoyed our stay in Venice in these unusual times. Location of the apartment was excellent and walking distance to all city sights and shops. We especially enjoyed the view of the Basilica di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari from the balcony - well worth a visit! Bedroom air con could be improved, but otherwise the apartment was very comfortable. Truly Venice representatives were very helpful and flexible with all arrangements, and we felt very well looked after. The recommendations for restaurants were excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Also the introducing from your colleague was helpful and he was very patient, because we arrived later than agreed due to the overcrowded vaporetto. The terrace was a wonderful place in summertime, especially in the evening. Also the aera is nice and not so crowed like other places in Venice. The furnishings were very valuable, one quickly had the feeling of being at home. It was wonderful to have a look at breakfast to the murano glasses as well as to the pictures at the wall. And the marbled bathroom was great, too. We have love our stay there and will come back as soon as possible.
We had the most fantastic time. We have been to Venice many times and have used Truly Venice in the past. This apartment suited our needs perfectly and was well located. Truly Venice staff most helpful as always.
This is an excellent apartment in an excellent area of Venice. It’s away from all the crowds at Rialto Bridge and San Marco Plaza but still close enough to walk to either location. The apartment is nicely decorated and has a large altana for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The management company is very responsive and I love that they are English speaking individuals. Made it easier to communicate. Great stay!!
Just wanted to say thank you for having us stay at one of your apartments. We had a great time around Venice and the apartment was perfect for us. Hope we’ll be back here soon and we’ll definitely want to stay at one of your places again.
Apartment Dandolo is very conveniently situated just round the corner from the Santo Toma vapporetto stop. This was ideal for getting about the city ....although you can walk to most of the sights anyway. There is a very handy supermarket just round the corner and a superb bakery across the square. The apartment itself is up four flights of stairs. As long as you pack light and are reasonably fit it's not a problem. Anyway it will ease your conscience about all the nice food you will be consuming! The apartment has a small bedroom with sufficient storage space. We found the bed a bit on the firm side. The bathroom is well appointed with a twin shower and bidet. The sitting room is large, airy and comfortable. The TV only has Italian channels but this is Venice.....why would you be watching TV? The kitchen area overlooks the rooftops and is attractive. In practice the design could be better, we found the corner sink very awkward. Also there were no instructions for any of the equipment. This would have been very helpful. The rooftop terrace is quite attractive.....we didn't use it as the weather wasn't so good and most of the day we were out sightseeing. The view is average and doesn't compare with apartment Alba D'oro where you look out onto the Grand Canal......but none the less it is pleasant. Truly Venice are fantastic. They were extremely helpful throughout the booking process. They organised water taxis to meet us and take us back to the airport. We were met by their friendly rep who showed us the apartment and was very helpful. There was a bit of a problem with the water taxi on return but Daniella sorted this out for us very quickly and efficiently. I wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

June 2017, Sue (United Kingdom) The apartment is small but lovely and very central. It is only a few steps from one of the Vaporetto stops for longer trips, but central enough to walk to most places. A special mention is due for the bathroom which has a twin shower. The balcony was nice but we only used it in the evening as it was so hot during the day. Do note that the apartment is on the 4th floor, and up 78 steps with no lift. Also note that the air conditioning doesn't extend to the bedroom, but it was easy to cool the room down by leaving the door open with the air conditioning on in the lounge. We had an excellent stay and the Truly Venice staff were friendly and helpful.
