This is one of the best spots in Venice Historical Center for its quietness, beauty and central position. The public transport stop and the supermarket are only 2 minutes’ walk away and there are plenty of excellent restaurants and cafés in the surroundings.
It is found at the 2nd and 3rd floor and is the largest of the three apartments that compose what we call Palazzo Degli Angeli, a building that can host comfortably up to 21 people in 3 independent units accessible from a communal stairway (see also Angelo Raffaele and Angelo Michele for a complete overview).
It is laid out on about 200 square meters and is composed of a large entrance hall, 2 king size bedrooms, 2 single bedrooms (of which one can easily become a twin), 2 bathrooms (one with shower and one with tub) and 1 lavatory, an ample living area with a large dining table that can be extended to fit up to 12 people, a balcony overlooking a picturesque canal and a terrace with plenty of outdoor wooden chairs and a coffee table.
Beside the location, the great plus of the Angelo Gabriele is definitively the massive living room with balcony facing the canal, where a large group or family can comfortably sit all together and share a wonderful vacation.
The Angelo Gabriele apartment is full of natural light and is elegantly finished with black marble flooring. Venetian in style, it has been newly renovated and equipped with new electrical appliances. The kitchen is super functional (4 burner stoves, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, kettle, moka, set of professional pans, etc...). Every room is equipped with an efficient air-conditioning system and there is climate controlled heating. There is Wi-Fi internet connection, flat screen TV, DVD player and Sky Satellite TV with plenty of English channels. Maximum comfort is ensured.

As a regular visitor to Venice, I have always stayed in hotels...but not anymore! I booked both the Angelo Gabriele and Angelo Raffaele apartments as there were 8 of us. The location is within 100 metres of the hotel we normally stay in as it is in, for us, the best location - in the middle of all the major sights but away from the crowds....so easy just to pop back anytime during the day to relax for an hour or two. The Angelo Gabriele is wonderfully spacious with 2 huge double bedrooms plus single ones as can be seen from the photos on the website. Everything in pristine condition. It was great to be met off the water taxi by our host and shown around the flat. They responded quickly to any points or questions we had during our stay. We're coming back next year and Truly Venice is the only site we'll need to look at.July 2018, Graham (UK)
Truly Venice were helpful from day one. Paolo and Daniella provided guidance and help throughout the booking process and on arrival when we got lost (completely our own fault) all the staff we dealt with were amazing, The apartment is in a brilliant location; close to St Marco Square, a short walk to the Opera House, close to the Vapretto, to the local supermarket which was well stocked and reasobable, little bars and shops. The apartment worked well for 6 adults and 3 children under 11; we sat on the balcony listening to the church bells, ate lovely family meals at the dining table, kitchen was small but not a problem as the rest of the apartment being on 2 floors felt spacious and we were all able to have our own space as and when needed. A fantastic time in Venice. Thank you !April 2018, Mark (UK)
We stayed at Angelo Gabriele for 6-nights as two families totaling 4-adults and 3-children. The Truly Venice rep arranged for our water taxi and met us at the S. Angelo vaporetto stop upon arrival to bring us to the property. The apartment was generously large for Venice with 4-bedrooms and 3-bathrooms. Perfect location in San Marco, minutes from Academia, Rialto, St. Mark's, S. Angelo vaporetto, and traghetto stop across to San Polo. The apartment was clean, bright, and quiet. Kitchen was a bit dated and small but everything else was perfect for our group. Lovely canal views from the balcony. Hint - close the wooden shudders at night to help keep in the warmth.March 2018, Derande (United States)
The apartment is located moments away from one of the many squares in San Marco. Just a short walk from the water taxi stop, and about 10 minutes through the winding restaurant-laden streets to St Mark's Square. The apartment is stunning - the custom spiral staircase and stained glass make it feel traditionally Venetian, even with the modern updates. The living and dining room has views over a quiet side canal. Hannah from Truly Venice did a great job helping our party of 5 into the building and gave plenty of good 'local' advice. All is all, a great location and beautiful apartment in a magical part of the world!February 2018, Steve (United States)
Excellente prestation : emplacement idéal, à proximité de la station de vaporetto, et entre la place Saint Marc et le Rialto. Accueil de grande qualité : bon contact dès l'arrivée, et réactivité lors d'une demande pendant le séjour!March 2017, Georges (France)
Our group of 9 adults arrived 3 days prior to a cruise and stayed here. The apartment is located just a few steps away from Campo Sant'Anzolo which is a great home base to connect to all the main walkways and attractions in San Marco sestieri and beyond. The 2-level flat was clean and comfortable. We had 4 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living area. The kitchen/dining area was ample for quick meals and getting caught up at the end of the day with the group. We managed with 2 1/2 bathrooms for the most part and appreciated the washing machine even for the short time we stayed. From the beginning, working with Daniela was very smooth; she answered all our questions and ensured that Angelo Gabriele was a match for our group. The booking process - from initial contact, contract review, deposit, to signing - was straightforward. Basically no surprises. It was accurately described online and upon arrival we were met and given a quick overview of the property. They also provided booking assistance for water taxi service to/ from the closest vaporetto stop, Sant'Angelo stop. This came in handy as we arrived in separate groups and times. Great alternative accommodations for a group; much more cost effective (and FUN!) than a hotel. Overall, top notch customer service and good property. Would use Truly Venice again.October 2016, Cecilia (CA, United States)
Villa Angelo Gabriele is a bright, beautiful, and surprisingly spacious apartment in the heart of Venice. It is perfect for 2 couples traveling together, or for 3 couples if one couple is willing to sleep on a trundle bed. It sits at the confluence of two canals, so you can have a glass of wine on the balcony and watch the world go by (in boats, of course). It is in the heart of Venice, just 5 minutes' walk to Piazza San Marco, but is surprisingly quiet because it is on two small canals. Everything we needed was supplied -- towels, shampoo, hairdryers, and a full kitchen. The two king-size beds were very comfortable. There is a wonderful gourmet shop just around the corner where we picked up antipasto, wine, cheese, and other essentials for the apartment. Thomas from Truly Venice was a great host, meeting us at the vaporetto stop, helping with our luggage, making dinner reservations for us, and sitting with us to go over the Venice map he had brought with his restaurant and sight-seeing recommendations, and directions to the nearby gourmet market. Make sure that you heed Thomas's recommendations for things to see off the San Marco beaten path. The church of Santa Maria Glorioso is spectacular and the newly-opened Jewish ghetto and museum is beautiful and haunting. Angelo Gabriele and Truly Venice made our Venice trip Truly Amazing.May 2016, Janet (United States)
Close to everything: 100m from the supermarket Punto Simply, 3 minutes to the vaporetto. Excellent location! Apartment very spacious functional, and comfortable.August 2015, Maurcie (France)
Roomy, comfortable and elegant apartment, close to Grand Canal. Good supermarket nearby. Helpful and friendly local representative.December 2015, Stephen (United Kingdom)
From the moment I booked this apartment, my experience was nothing short from amazing. There was a large group of family going to Italy for the holidays and working with Truly Venice was the best decision we made. The apartments were beautiful and exactly as they appeared in the pictures. The location was perfect, close enough to everything but not smack dab in the middle of chaos. We are already thinking about booking our next trip and using Truly Venice.January 2016, CJ McDonald (United States)
Dear Daniela Want to tell you thank you very much for our fantastic time in Venice! Apartment is great: clear, large, modern and comfortable. It is situated in the centre of Veniece, but it is very silent place. It took 10 minutes to get to the sights by feet. Our company is 3 families - 6 person and everything was very comfortable! There is a large library and fantastic books! Thank you for friendly accomodation! We will recommend it our friends!October 2013, Elena (Russia)
Fantastic Location, Gorgeous apartment This was a great location near everything, but not right in the middle of things either. Many fabulous restaurants and stores nearby. We loved Rosa Rossa. The apartment was amazing. As stunning as in the pictures, lots of room to spread out, comfortable, and well maintained. Someone met us at the vaporetto stop, brought us to the apartment, and gave us a tour and some general information. He was very helpful. I would recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a roomy and comfortable apartment in Venice!November 2013, Liz (United States)
Great apartment, Good Location We stayed in the top two floors of the house known as the angelo Gabriele apartments. The space was well appointed and clean and everything worked. The building itself was safe with a sturdy locking door and locking windows and had nice views of a small tranquil canal from both floors. The kitchen was modern and well equipped and the furniture and beds were comfortable. Our location on Calle degli avvocatti - a few steps off of the Campo San angelo was convenient and well situated. The nearest vaporetto stop (San angelo) was about a five minute walk with only one bridge to cross and so was manageable even with the large bags we had for our extended trip. There was a new, good sized market about five minutes walking and a pharmacy and other shops nearby as well.November 2013, Bob (United States)
Spacious and airy, with delightful terraces! We have come to expect excellence from Truly Venice, and Angelo Gabriele maintains the record! The location is steps away from everything you need as far as food and wine shopping is concerned; cafes and restaurants, delightful campos and wonderful photo opportunities, while being quiet for sleeping at night. We relaxed with wine on the upper terrace or sprawled comfortably in the enormous lounge, watched gondolas navigate the tiny canal outside the windows, and cooked up meals in the very well-appointed kitchen. This was great value for the price and our entire group is still talking about it! Thanks so much!November 2013, Wendy (Canada)
Thank you for the wonderful apartment, our family truly enjoyed Venice and the beauty and comfort of this apartment as well. This was the perfect place to rest after our travel and relax in between our exploration of Venice. The location was excellent! Will recommend the apartment!March 2014, Julie (United States)
