In the surroundings you can find the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, the Francois Pinault Foundation in Punta della Dogana, the Accademia Galleries and other world-famous landmarks.
Many Venice connoisseurs and influent artists bought their house here as it is a picturesque, quiet and central area of Venice, where you can really experience the great lifestyle of "La Dolce Vita", like Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Ekberg played in the world-famous Federico Fellini movie.
Its prestigious private entrance room faces directly on the Fondamenta delle Zattere, but the largest part of this house is found at the first floor, laid out on about 200 square meters, while at the second floor there is the access to the Altana, the typical Venetian wooden roof-top terrace. The view from here is absolutely unique, with panoramic view over the Giudecca Canal and Island. Between April and October when the climate is mild it is possible to enjoy breakfast or just a glass of wine sitting on this terrace, especially pleasant at sunset.
It has been completely and carefully restored by the caring landlord who hired the best architect and craftsmen in town in order to create a truly unique boutique apartment. The privileged guests of the Dolce Vita will enjoy the best location, a great canal view from most of the rooms, maximum privacy, prestigious interiors and top-level service!
As you can see from the floor-plan in the image gallery each room is designed to be completely independent from the others, with a full-bathroom for each of the 4 bedrooms (a long corridor connects the independent rooms like in a hotel). The living room is equipped with a comfortable double pull-out bed and few couches, enough for a large family reunion. When the apartment is entirely rented by the same group, the second living room on the opposite side of the house can be used as dining room allowing up to 10 people to seat around the same extensible table. The early 18th century frescoed ceiling of the large master bedroom is a charming detail that witness the history of this place, while the smart and elegant use of prestigious types of wood throughout the house confers warmth to the ambience.
Most of the furniture is tailor made in order to create a distinctive style and fit perfectly every room, allowing the privileged guest to live in total comfort the holiday in Venice. From 5 south facing rooms of the 7 that compose the Dolce Vita apartment you can enjoy the great canal view and the brightness of the Mediterranean sun. In every room is available air-conditioning and Wi-Fi internet connection, beside all other electrical appliances such as washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, etc.
The house is perfect for 8 people, but it is structured to comfortably host up to 10 people. In summary the Dolce Vita is one of our favourite apartments, suitable for families, couples, groups, including older travellers and well-behaved kids.
