The entrance of the XIX century Palazzo is stunning both inside and outside where the garden is always looked after. The apartment is found at the second floor and it has been recently refurbished with classic style furniture and some antique pieces. It is a simply beautiful apartment with every amenity: air conditioning, Wi-Fi internet connection, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, oven, kettle, microwave, TV, fridge, four gas burners stove, etc.
It is laid out on about 60 square meters and is composed of a dining room with a nice kitchen, a beautiful fireplace (not in use!) and an extensible wooden table that can be prepared for 4 or 6 people as requested; a very bright living room with Grand Canal view, two normal sofas and a single sofa bed; a bathroom with shower cabin and a rather small bedroom with queen size bed. The entire apartment features a perfect Terrazzo Veneziano flooring.
We highly suggest the Rossini apartment to couples who wishes to experience living on the Grand Canal in total comfort, in a prestigious historic building, without spending a fortune!
About the location: the area is lively, along the streets you can find many boutiques, specialty shops, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets and a colourful street market beloved also by locals. Some people may think it is slightly off the beaten track, but it isn't absolutely as everything is at walking distance in Venice historic town. In fact, from the Rossini it takes only about 15 minutes to reach the Rialto Bridge and about 10 minutes to reach Piazzale Roma and Ferrovia (car park and train station), while the well-known Jewish Ghetto is just around the corner.
1 minute walk to the Vaporetto Stop

The apartment Rossini is beautiful, clean, spacious, and airy with 2 large louvre door windows in the living room that open onto the Grand Canal. The queen size bed in the private bedroom is very comfortable, even the pillows! The sitting room has two sofas that can be used for sleeping and one is a pull out bed. We arrived in style via water taxi from Marco Polo airport which took us straight to the private dock of the apartment, where we were met by a pleasant company rep who helped us carry our luggage up the stairs and answered our questions and offered suggestions. The apartment is well located and close to fresh produce and fish markets, coffee roasting shop, small grocer, pharmacy, etc. We are so happy to have found the Rossini apartment--after a day out roaming Venice, how wonderful to be able to come "home," throw open the windows and have expansive views of the Grand Canal with all the tour boats, commercial boats, water buses, taxis and gondolas--or, sit on our private dock with a bottle of wine, and simply watch glorious Venice go by!June 2018, Shirley (United States)
