Walking up the stairway that leads to the large central living room that is full of charm and history you immediately feel the prestige of this property. Original Palladiana flooring, antique exposed wooden trusses, very high ceilings, original tall arched windows, and walls decorated with Venetian stucco show that no expense was spared in the exacting restoration recently executed by the owner.
A sophisticated Japanese style permeates the décor: details can be seen throughout the apartment in the choice of the Dansu cabinet and Oriental tables, precious silk textiles, artwork, lacquered containers, and ikebana. There is an antique extendable dining table that can seat up to eight people. The designer kitchen is equipped superbly with high-tech appliances and is also graced with a single beautiful gothic window. The two remarkably beautiful king size bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom, are located on opposite sides of the living room ensuring total privacy. Each bedroom has a relaxing garden view and plenty of natural light. Both en-suite bathrooms are luxurious, one even has an antique sculpted stone sink.
The Canova is also highly technological: there is a wide-screen TV with sound system, air-conditioning in every room, Wi-Fi, a smart lighting system, a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, induction stove, professional oven, large fridge with freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and more.
The Canova apartment is located in a part of the San Polo District that is full of charming local restaurants, boutiques and artisan shops, yet tucked away from the bustle. From this “oasis of peace”, as we call it, it takes about five minutes to reach the Ponte Rialto (Rialto Bridge) and about 10 minutes to reach the Ferrovia (train station) or Piazzale Roma (car park), while the Vaporetto (water bus) stop San Tomà is just four minutes away.
The most exclusive and convenient way to access the apartment is by private water taxi, with drop-off just steps from the apartment. The trip across the lagoon from the airport takes under half an hour.
The privileged guests of the Canova apartment can take advantage of a top-quality maid service, waitressing and “Home Chef” service available on request. We recommend the Canova to extremely discerning travellers as such a high level of exclusivity is very rare, truly a 5-star home!

Perfect apartment in the perfect location. The apartment is managed by a management company called Truly Venice who offer a very smooth online booking service and answered all of my questions prior to arrival. They also booked a water taxi from the airport and meet you at the drop off point for a personalised check in which was great. The apartment itself is beautiful with a very Venetian outlook over rooftops and a garden. It’s located right near Campo San Polo and very quiet at night. It was stocked with everything we needed. The bed linens and towels are lovely. Beds were very comfortable. We stayed as a couple it was perfect! It would easily accommodate a family or 2 couples. The previous negative review is completely unfounded. Highly recommended. 5 stars from me.

The Canova is a well-appointed, tastefully decorated apartment. This lovely and atmospheric apartment has excellent beds, and it is right in the centre of the city, tucked down a side street and very quiet. We loved the spaciousness of the main room and felt very happy there. Highly recommended. The state of the rest of the block was immaterial to the quality of the apartment. This is, after all, a Renaissance city.

As experienced travellers and visitors to Venice for business and pleasure, this is easily the best place in the city we have stayed yet. The apartment itself is tastefully and exotically furnished, fully equipped in every sense, and a calm and peaceful retreat, beautifully and romantically lit in the evening. For two couples on a 50th birthday trip in the cold, the apartment was warm, welcoming and somewhere we looked forward to getting back to. Bedrooms are separate and private, beds are comfortable, bathrooms and storage spacious, and, for us at least, luxurious. Unusually for Venice the kitchen is large and modern, well designed and had everything we needed to cook at home. Even better when we discovered the hidden drawers...The location is central, yet away from any noise or commotion, and a perfect base for exploration. Wifi is better than my office. 'Musica a Palazzo' a real treat and something we are still talking about, an almost private opera performance in the rooms of a Grand Canal Palazzo. I booked well ahead and asked many questions to the Truly Venice Staff, and I found them excellent to deal with before and during our stay.

Superb apartment in the center of Venice just 10 minutes from Rialto bridge. Beautifully decorated and fully equipped. 2 king size beds which were very comfy. Very peaceful and tucked away but near everything. Highly recommended.

We rented this apt with another couple for one week in June 2016. It was a beautiful apt, straight out of Architectural Digest. It was the perfect setup for two adult couples. The bedrooms with accompanying bathrooms were on opposite sides of the large living space allowing plenty of privacy. The kitchen was very modern with all the latest appliances and fully stocked with dishes, stemware, mugs, and utensils. There was a separate laundry room/bathroom off of the main room. Location was good. The neighborhood was quiet. All four of us loved it and would easily return tomorrow!
