Piazza San Marco is found literally 2 minutes’ walk from here. Calle Larga XXII Marzo, the famous high fashion boutiques street, is behind the corner. The position is the most prestigious in the city, in fact the most exclusive 5 stars hotels are lined up along this part of the Grand Canal. Top rated restaurants and cafes are in the vicinity, among which the well-known Harry’s Bar.
Beside to the private rooftop terrace (which view stretches from Basilica della Salute and Punta della Dogana to San Giorgio Maggiore and the Giudecca Islands) it has access to a convivial terrace shared by all guests of the Palazzo located only a few steps from the living room. Daily maid service is available in the mornings, while the palazzo's private secretary will readily give you pointers and assistance, as well as open doors for you if need be. The level of hospitality here is unmatched: a welcome food and drinks basket will be served at arrival, while fresh croissants are brought to the door every morning.
The apartment has been redecorated in a pure, classic style with a contemporary twist. The living room is bright and spacious, with plenty of comfortable sitting space, a large dining table and a full optional and elegant kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, plus the attic level where there 2 single beds and plenty of room for kids to play. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with bathtub. The second bedroom is either a twin or a double, the third bedroom is smaller and has a single bed. All beds have exceptional deluxe mattresses.
The origins of the Palazzo date back to the 12th century, when the Barozzi family built the first body of the building. In the 17th century, the medieval structure was remodelled into a Renaissance Palazzo. In the early 19th century, the Treves family barons of Bonfili, acquired the residence and revamped the property. The last important renovation was completed only few years ago by the same family who lived here for the last 200 years.
