The Veronese is a Venetian apartment surrounded by gardens with a special allure found in one of the most exclusive locations of the historic centre.
The Accademia Galleries and the sunny Zattere waterfront can be reached in one minute walk, the charming Squero di San Trovaso (the last "Gondola-yard" left in Venice) is even closer.
This home is unique for its layout and structure: the entrance on the ground floor give access to a completely independent studio composed of a bathroom with large shower cabin, a kitchenette and two single beds that can be used also as queen size bed.
The main apartment is actually found at the first floor and measures about 100 square meters. It is composed of a very spacious living and dining room elegantly furnished with a Saarinen Tulip Carrara marble table and 6 chairs, 2 very nice and comfortable sofas, a balanced mix of contemporary pieces and antique prints, a built-in library and a small terrace facing a beautiful garden.
The apartment features also a newly fitted and well-equipped kitchen, a brand-new bathroom with large shower cabin and a large bedroom with a king size bed. This bedroom faces another garden, on the opposite side of the living room. Being on two levels you can get full privacy for each bedroom/bathroom, while the large connecting staircase is composed of about 15 easy-to-climb steps.
Its Venetian flavour is given by the Terrazzo flooring and the original wooden beamed ceiling, the furniture is elegant and classic, exception made for the dining room that features some designer pieces and abstract contemporary paintings. Another great plus of this property is the little but charming terrace overlooking a very quiet and beautifully looked after private garden, where you can relax any time of the day or evening.
The Veronese has air-conditioning in each room and is equipped with modern appliances for your total comfort (Wi-Fi internet connection, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, etc).
It is perfectly maintained and looked after by the friendly owners who live on the top floor of the same building. They may use the same staircase to access their penthouse, although most of the time they use the private elevator, so you will rarely encounter them. However, keep in mind that the street entrance door and the common staircase are not private, but shared with them, while you will be provided with the keys to the door of the Veronese apartment for both levels.
Last but not least: the rental fee is particularly interesting for that category of accommodation! Highly recommended.
About the location: this area is rich in cultural attractions such as Basilica della Salute, Punta della Dogana, Accademia Galleries, Ca' Rezzonico Museum, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Cà Foscari University and much more. Literally at the doorsteps there are also many Osterie, Bacari, cafés and restaurants serving Venetian specialties for locals and students, beside myriads of nice art galleries and local artisan shops...you really cannot be bored!

The Veronese apartment was really beautiful in the traditional Venetian style. We loved the little terrace which looked out over a magnificent garden, a perfect spot for a cup of tea! The kitchen was very well equipped but tiny. The apartment was in a perfect location, very close to a vaparetto stop and local shops, too. We were able to walk to many galleries to see their Biennale exhibitions and also visit some of the other smaller exhibitions held in different places close by the apartment. We have stayed with Truly Venice many times but this apartment was the best so far. Thank you again, Truly Venice.

We have spent a month in this very lovely apartment ideally located, spacious, quiet and well-appointed. The views were lovely, overlooking the garden of the hotel next door, and the space was quiet. We have really appreciated the efficient kitchen, and nice linens and dishwares. It was like being at home! We have met the owner who is very charming and does speak French. This is the second time with The Truly Venice process who is highly professional and very client service oriented. We would like to particularly thank Veronica and the lady who has met us whose "meet-and-greet" service was exemplary and very helpful. We are planning to go back next year in this same apartment.
The location was perfect for a quiet and comfortable stay in Venice. The booking agency was efficient and very helpful in arranging water taxis to and from, as well as meeting us upon arrival and walking us through the apartment. The views were lovely, overlooking the garden of the hotel next door, and the space was quiet. We appreciated the comfy couch, efficient kitchen, and nice linens, but would have loved a little bit hotter water in the showers. The convenience of this apartment was amazing, close to everything! We would be happy to return!
The apartment is ideally located, spacious, quiet and well-appointed. It was a pleasure to be introduced to the owners who were both charming and helpful. For a week's stay, the price compares very favourably to a good hotel - for example, the Hotel Pensione Academia just next door. The Truly Venice process was seamless and highly professional - despite one or two website glitches - throughout. We would like to particularly thank and commend Anna whose "meet-and-greet" service was exemplary and very helpful. On departure day, we were grateful to be able to leave our bags downstairs until midday after letting the cleaning lady in at 10h - she was delightful and very accommodating. We would definitely use Truly Venice and - availability permitting - Veronese again on future visits.
This lovely apartment was spacious, beautifully decorated, and well located near the Accademia Gallery and vaporetto stop. This location made getting around the island easy, and made the trips to the Gallery, the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, and the Ca' Rezzonico easy, as well as giving us easy access to other neighborhoods and attractions. In addition, the neighborhood was full of charming restaurants and shops. The apartment was furnished with Venetian antiques and plush sofas atop especially attractive terrazzo floors. The amenities provided everything we needed, from a hair dryer to a dishwasher and washing machine. The Truly Venice staff were helpful in every way. We will definitely book this apartment the next time we come to Venice.
Excellent accomodation. The location is equipped like for family members, we felt very well. The apartment is also good located, near academia bridge. Good to enjoy Venice! Yes and dont miss the restaurant across the "street" Taverna San Trovaso, or the Cantine del Vino già Schiavi!
This is a great location with easy access by water taxi (virtually to your door) whilst nice and quiet of an evening. Access to the tourist sites is very easy and only a few minutes walk. Restaurants, a bar and a couple of local shops are a few steps away. Mini market/General store is a 10 minute walk.
Booking with Truly Venice could not have been easier. The pre-arranged water taxi ride was a fabulous way to enter venice and dropped us moments from the apartment. The apartment itself was an oasis of calm with large airy rooms and a small balcony which overlooked the quiet garden of a hotel. Accommodation was on 2 floors, a modern ground floor bedroom with bathroom which had access up a flight of internal, communal stairs to the main apartment which was perfectly placed to access Venice's wonders on foot. The apartment was equipped with everything needed for our stay. The only minor niggle was the kitchen which had very limited working space owing to the full height cupboards along one wall. Excellent company to book with. Perfect location. Wonderful apartment.
The Veronese apartment is perfect. Location is great with all you need only a few steps away, but it’s quiet & private with a lovely garden outlook. The self contained apartment below is perfect for extra friends or family. I’ve stayed here on two other occasions & the next time I’m in Venice I will hopefully stay there again.
Located close to Accademia by a quiet side canal just off the Grand Canal, this is a very tastefully furnished, comfortable and well-equipped apartment with a small balcony overlooking a peaceful beautiful garden. The service from Truly Venice was prompt, friendly, accommodating and totally professional, from booking and payment, through to meet-and-greet and booking a porter for luggage on departure. The owners, who live in separate accommodation above, were charming and also very helpful. It was an altogether wonderful experience.
We visited at the end of October and have been to Venice many times. I have not booked an apartment before and just stayed in hotels previously. I have to say I would book an apartment again and this particular one was lovely well equipped and the bed comfortable. It was also in a nice quiet location which can be rare for Venice. Staff were very helpful and it was overall a very good experience. I only had a minor grumble with the apartment and that was the rug that kept moving and was dangerous along with one of the sofa's where the cushions kept slipping out beneath you I think this was because it is a sofa bed!
I have just returned from my stay in the Veronese apartment in Dordsoduro, a lovely comfortable home in a perfect location. Thomas and Hannah, your representatives in Venice, were very helpful, easy to reach and responded at once whenqueries arose. I will certainly consider renting this apartment again. I had a wonderful time, the location was incomparable, Truly Venice were easy and a pleasure to work with.

Please let Ms Tolluto know how much we enjoyed our stay in Venice from Friday 21 to Tuesday 25 October. We arrived with 3 children and the location of the flat was perfect for a family. What made it all even more perfect was the impeccable organisation of Truly Venice. Our WaterTaxi had been sorted out and on arrival we were expected at the key leading to the flat by utterly professional and efficient Hannah. The fact that she speaks perfect English and lives in Venice helped and she gave us plenty of advise when it comes to where to eat with kids and where to find the best Italian ice cream! The flat works well for a family. It is spacious, has a lovely view of the garden, has WiFi (a must for our teenage daughter!) and all the bits and pieces needed to feel at home. And having a kind landlady, Ms. Tolluto, was an added bonus. When we checked in she arrived with a huge bag of lovely Italian biscuits for the children. We have recommended Truly Venice to quite a few friends already since we got back to London. Please also extend our thanks to Hannah once more. She was just great!
The Veronese apartment is very comfortably furnished in lovely traditional Venetian style; well equipped and in an excellent location. My son-in-law had never been to Venice and it was a pleasure to show him around and introduce him to some of our favourite places. My husband and I stayed in this apartment for 7 nights in August. Photos in the listing are accurate. The location was perfect. Close to both accademia & zattere vaporetto stops, but not touristy. There was a coffee shop just around the corner and a grocery store wasn't far away & the apartment even had a rolling grocery bag to use. We loved to sit out on the quiet balcony overlooking the hotel courtyard next door. Booking was very easy & Daniela was very responsive. Enrico met us when the water taxi dropped us off & explained everything in the apartment to us. Certainly cheaper than any hotel I was looking at & so much more space! I highly recommend this apartment & would use Truly Venice again!
We booked this apartment to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, It was perfect, beautifully appointed and a perfect location close to the accademia bridge yet very quiet. The owner had left a personal touch in the apartment which was very much appreciated. We also took the flat on the ground floor for friends and that was ideal as well. Truly Venice organised everything brilliantly and a lovely girl met us near the bridge to show us into the apartment and make us feel at home showing how everything worked. I would most certainly come back to Veronese and use Truly Venice again and again. Thank you for making our Venice trip hassle free.

I didn't think such a beautiful garden view was possible in Venice. The apartment is comfortable and elegant and the detail backs this up, from the original artwork to the quality of the plentiful crockery and glassware. Giulia's recommendations for eating and shopping locally helped us settle in quickly (thank you especially for Tonolo!) and we would never have managed to arrange for a water taxi to collect us from the steps outside our apartment without her. This is a very special place.
We got home from Veronese apartment last night and wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very comfortable, well equipped and in an excellent location. We had lovely weather for most of the time but needed our Wellington Boots one evening when there was an acqua alta, so I didn't mind having packed them! Venice was lovely and not too crowded at this time of the year. My son-in-law had never been to Venice and it was a pleasure to show him around and introduce him to some of our favourite places.
