In a historic building on the Grand Canal, a stone's throw from the Rialto bridge, the Duodo is a luxurious penthouse loft equipped with every comfort.
The “water gate” allows those who want to arrive by taxi to access the building directly from the Grand Canal, while the elevator allows to access the attic with only one flight of stairs.
The “altana”, the traditional panoramic roof-top terrace, is furnished with wooden table and chairs, deckchair and awning for the hottest days. Here you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Grand Canal and the Palazzos that seemingly float upon it, the rooftops of Cannaregio and the monumental Cà Pesaro, the notorious Modern Art Museum right next door.
One of the highlights of the Duodo apartment is the beautiful light that flows from the many windows and the nice view over San Stae Church and Cà Pesaro. It is also laid out on about 140 square meters, plenty of room for a couple. On one side of the loft there is a cozy and romantic sleeping area equipped with a comfortable king size bed and an office corner, with a lot of closet space. On the other side of the loft there is a functional Boffi kitchen with steel top and minimalistic design, open onto a bright dining area and a spacious sitting area with plenty of comfortable sofas. The relaxing bathroom is embellished with carefully chosen materials, such as the Bisazza mosaic tiles on the walls and a warm parquet floor. There is both bathtub and shower a large cabin.
The caring owner who lives at the floor below furnished it with nice antiques and some contemporary objects, beside filling the shelfs with books of every sort. It is equipped with air conditioning, independent heating system, fast Wi-Fi, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle and much more. Quietness is guaranteed and requested at the same time. This apartment is perfect for romantic couples who wish to experience living an authentic experience guests of an historic Venetian family. Please mind that the elevator takes to the 3rd level where the entrance to the larger Owner's apartment is located, then there are about 15 steps to reach the penthouse. Please note that the owner would prefer not to rent to families with children but only to adult couples as she is indeed worried about the roof top terrace not being safe. Thank you for respecting that.

This was a brilliant week; all the arrangements went with the precision of a Swiss watch. Arriving to see Anna waiting on the private jetty was a great start, and it just got better. The apartment is quite spectacular, with acres of space and enough sofas and chairs to accommodate several families, so for the two of us, it was perfect. It really is well-equipped and the kitchen lacked for nothing. An endless supply of towels etc more than sufficed. The location is perfect. The Saint Stae vaporetto stop is literally a two-minute walk with only one small bridge to cross and is one of the stops for the Alliguna Linea Arancia service to the airport. As for local facilities, our local restaurant, Osteria Mocenigo, recommended by our hostess, is a brilliant place and a four-minute walk across that same bridge. Very nearby is Majer Bakers, with amazing bread, croissants, and overfilled ciabbata sandwiches. Two minutes from there is the Coop supermarket in Campo S. Giacomo da l'Orio which also has good places to eat. Only 'warning': the apartment is in the loft space and is full of beams. Mind your head!!± A final good word for our apartment owner: a real Venetian lady!!!

Very cosy apartment. Enjoyable and very functional during our 2-weeks stay. It is well located, calm but close to the vaporetto stop, to groceries, restaurants and Rialto market. Relationship with Truly Venice and the owner was fluid, helpful and efficient.
Place is amazing, well placed, spacious and nicely arranged, very comfortable and functional; the view from the balcony is fabulous.
This is a stunning apartment, the rooftop terrace with its grand canal views are amazing. The apartment is extremely well equipped, beautifully furnished and designed, and it is quite something to be housed in a 15th century palazzo on the grand canal. Truly Venice (our second time renting through them) is superb, helpful, and highly recommended.
Duodo is very close to vaporetto stop San Stae in Santa Croce. The apartment is very tastefully furnished and has all the amenities one could wish for. The campo San Giacomo all'Orio - a few minutes walking - is easily the most welcoming piazza in Venice.
Venice is a magical city, a magic that was enhanced for us by experiencing it from the perfect base of the Duodo Terrace apartment. We looked forward, after busy and tiring days prowling the city, to returning to this visually and uniquely lovely oasis of calm and quiet. When we were “at home” in the apartment we spent much of our time relaxing on and eating out on the altana - a truly wonderful place for observing the beauty and energy of the city lying before us and beneath us. A delight that we had not expected was the neighborhood itself. It’s narrow streets and lovely canals and tiny bridges provided visual delight at every turn. Most days we took a short late afternoon walk to the nearby Campo S Giacomo to shop for food and linger over an aperol spritz while watching the lively activity of life happening in the square. Sue and I had a wonderful 11 days in Venice, in very large measure because we so enjoyed our stay at Duodo Terrace. We would not hesitate to recommend it to friends or family.
The Duodo Terrace apartment was a beautiful base from which to explore Venice. It has a spacious terrace with views onto the Grand Canal and to the distant mountains on the mainland - it is so beautiful at sunset! The apartment itself is extremely spacious, with a well appointed kitchen and a spacious bathroom. The apartment was very clean and it had everything I needed. It is located in a central area but not on the main tourist routes, which gives a lovely reprieve from the crowds - the inside of the apartment was always very quiet. I would recommend the apartment to anyone!
