The location was perfect very close to St Mark Square, shopping and restaurants. The apartment was nicely decorated with a kitchen that had everything for cooking meals. The balcony on the Grand Canal was breath taking watching gondolas coming by. The apartment made our trip very memorable.

Wow, what a great Palazzo, Perfect to just sit on the deck on the Grand Canal and take in the view every day. Great location and easy access to all of Venice by foot. Loved it!

This is a stunning apartment - nicer then the pictures, believe it or not. We loved everything about it - though we never ended up cooking in the kitchen. The rooms are spacious, and the Canal view is there from the Master, the porch, AND the living room. Just wonderful and special. Worth the price if you are able to afford it... and Truly Venice is terrific!

Everything was spectacular, and the service from Truly Venice was amazing! Thank you so much, we will be back!

What a location : literally ON the Grand Canal, directly across from Santa Maria Della Salute, at five minutes west of Piazza San Marco. This large apartment has a wonderful high scale, yet an intimate feeling of a wealthy personal family residence. We loved it. Next time we are coming back for a month!

The apartment is in easy walking distance to most of Venice. It is very spacious - 4 bedrooms w/full baths, plus ample living, dining, and kitchen facilities. The view and the small deck on the Grand Canal are awesome!! (Pictures are accurate). We had a family of 5 and it was perfect! Not is the location central in San Marco, it is a surprisingly short walk to Rialto, Accademia and to two public taxi stops on the Canal.

Although this apartment seems expensive it is worth every penny. At the entrance to The Grand Canal with a small terrace onto the water, we were entertained every day by singing Gondoliers. Although there is an inner courtyard we couldn't keep away from the terrace. The apartment is huge-there is a long walk if you've forgotten anything from the far bedroom. It has charm, is furnished with lots of really interesting things and pictures and the kitchen has everything you could want or need. It was also very cool inside when the temperatures outside hit 30c. We were there with grown-up children and a 10 month old Granddaughter and we looked forward to going back every day after walking all round Venice. St Mark's Square was 5 minutes away but I would recommend that you visit early in the morning before all the hoards of tourists arrive. We liked Guidecca, across the Canal best and the area around the old jewish quarter. We had such a good time that if/when we return, and if we could still afford it, I would stay here again. It was a perfect stay in Venice

Located on Grand Canal directly opp the SALUTE Church as in the picture. Right in the Centre close to Piazza San Marco and short walk to Vaporetto stops. Easy family living and equipped like a real operating home. Tastefully furnished Local manager was very helpful with arrangements and checking that we had no problems....would recommend for Family or compatible group!

We booked the apartment for 4 nights as extended family (7 people), including little children and elderly people. It is a real Venetian Palazzo. The pictures are not promising too much. We were welcomed with flowers and sparkling wine. The "apartment" was comfortable, really spacious and fully equipped (coffee, washing-up liquid, soap). But the cherry on the cake ist the private balcony to the Canal Grande. As the Palazzo is located in the heart of Venice (quiet side street), places of interest can be reached easily. After having visited the city you can easily come back and relax. The people oft the agency were very helpful, friendly and professional. You should absolutely book the watertaxi for arrival, it was a indescribable experience. All in all it is an amazing feeling of being a guest there, we definitely would book this Palazzo again.

Dear Sir or Madam We just came home from our trip to Venice and wanted to thank you for the great organisation of our stay at the Dogaressa apartment. It is really outstanding, above all because of its location and the balcony!
April 2017, Birgit (Switzerland)
I cannot say enough good things about the Dogaressa Apartment. It is on the GrandCanal with a private first floor balcony over the canal with seating for 6 + directly across from the Santa Maria della Salute. This is an end-of-the-day wine and cheese party location that beats anything else you will find in Venice. Truly Venice, the property manager, arranged a water taxi from the airport directly to our private dock - what an amazing way to arrive in Venice and your home away from home. We had 7 in our party (3 couples and a single), which worked out well as all bedrooms had their own bath. The living room is large with great views; the dining room is excellent and the kitchen is well equipped. The location is 5 minutes to St. Mark's Square with lots of other attractions in the area nearby. It is a short walk to the Giglio vaporetto stop (be sure to buy a multi-day pass which lets you get on and off as much as you like).Hannah, the onsite manager for Truly Venice, was wonderful and spent as much time as we needed to get introduced to the apartment, the area and even helped with a couple of restaurant recommendations. Everything you see on the Truly Venice website concerning the Dogaressa is factual and accurate. We began our visit in mid-October, which was cool a couple of days. To fully enjoy the Dogaressa and it's balcony I'd come in late September. I booked it as soon as I saw it - 1 year in advance. You will love it. Do not pass up this place.

Dogaressa is well placed, a beautiful apartment and well worth five stars. Sitting, drinking coffee in the morning looking over the Grand Canal was wonderful. Very convenient for St Marks and all the other sites.

We have just had the most amazing stay. Quite simply this is the best location in Venice. Stunning apartment with stunning views. You can just sit and watch the life on the canal or wander the fascinating streets. This apartment is very close to St Marks Square but in truth, everywhere in Venice is closer than you think. The Truly Venice team are excellent to deal with, but it was Hannah who met us on our arrival, that made our stay truly perfect. She was so friendly, thoughtful and welcoming, she spent time with us making sure we had all the information to make the most of our stay, giving us advice and suggestions which were excellent. It is very rare to meet such professionalism and it made our stay absolutely perfect. Thank you Hannah. With service like this, which ever apartment you stay in through Truly Venice, you won't be disappointed. We will return!

A wonderful location and THE best view in Venice, practically all of our time was spent on the balcony with the exception of sleeping in the luxurious bedrooms and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. Throughout the day there is the sound of the wakes made by the vaporetto (water buses) and the gondolieri singing. It is all very fascinating and wonderful to watch, especially with a glass of Prosecco! Throughout the night, after the gondelieri have ‘parked up’ their gondole; the sound of the canal slapping and swishing can take a bit of getting used to, especially in the main bedroom which overlooks the Grand Canal. A small price to pay for such a location!

Wow, wow, wow! Opposite one of my favourite churches - the basilica Santa Maria della Salute, and only a few minutes’ walk to St Mark's Square, this is a really lovely place to stay. We hope to be back!

When I saw the photographs of the Dogaressa Apartment, I dreamed of staying there. My husband agreed! Our stay at Dogaressa was wonderful. It is truly a privilege experience to enjoy the views of the Grand Canal and especially Santa Maria della Salute from the wooden terrace! Daniela couldn’t have been more helpful preparing for our stay, arranging water-taxis, accommodating my husband who arrived early, and then helping us retrieve our luggage that had missed our flight. The apartment is in the best location in Venice. And the apartment is beautiful! We loved hearing the the gondolas slapping the waves, and the waves lapping the stone walls of our bedroom. Thank you. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The pictures of this apartment cannot do it justice. Not because it is more luxurious than shown but because there is a magical quality to staying in this graceful palazzo that offers one of the most enchanting views of Venice. The apartment is LARGE. We were five but you can easily accommodate more without anyone being underfoot. We loved the quirks that come from it being a converted building and appreciated them for what they are; there are long hallways that never end and tiny corridors that lead from one bedroom to the next. There are two outdoor areas; the balcony facing Santa Maria del Salute and a large patio (with table) within the grounds of the palazzo. If you stay at this place it will finagle its way into your heart. Moreover, if you can stay here- you must. Daniela and her team are AMAZING- I have rented throughout Europe and their customer service, promptness and professionalism are unmatched.

Meraviglioso!

The most beautiful apartment and view of Venice ever! The views from this apartment are truly breathtaking! It is positioned on the Grand Canal directly opposite the Salute Church. We are a family of 5 ( 3 teenage children), and none of us got tired of sitting on the beautiful little patio, jutting out over the canal, to watch the gondolas etc, pass by. We arrived at the apartment by a private water taxi from the airport, which was arranged by "Truly Venice" for us. I have to say, it was the most wonderful way to arrive in Venice, taken right down the Grand Canal, under the Rialto Bridge, and dropped off right outside the apartment at its own private landing jetty. The apartment is huge! With 4 bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of space to chill out in, after a hard days sightseeing! The location is fantastic, just a few minutes walk to St Mark's Square and lots of beautiful shops on your doorstep. The WiFi was brilliant in the apartment, which was a bonus for our children!! The apartment was located inbetween the Gritti Palace and the Westin Regina, both 5 star hotels, but I hate to think what you would have to pay in these for the same space and views! The kitchen was large and well stocked with appliances. We had a lovely time in Venice, made all the better by this beautiful apartment.

"Open the curtains and...wow!" To arrive at your front door by water taxi direct from the airport is a great way to start a break at Dogaressa. To open the curtains on your first morning is just unbelievable; gondoliers preparing their boats for a day's work against the backdrop of the Santa Maria della Salute- the church so close that you can almost reach out and touch it. To landward as well the location is wonderful, seconds from a main shopping street and minutes from San Marco, yet quiet and hidden away. The apartment is spacious although don't expect too many mod-cons. Would I recommend this property to lovers of Venice? Absolutely!
September 2014, Mr Maserati (Japan)
You swoosh up to Dogaressa in a water taxi, and the miracle unfolds! The apartment is bliss, our welcoming Letizia could not have been more helpful. She found us a heavenly maid Maria and she patiently answered all our questions and filled our map with helpful locations, markets, restaurants and travel suggestions. Beds were all beautifully made up and the location is breath taking. Imagine opening your windows onto a South facing little cushion filled terrace, with one of Venice's most beautiful churches, Santa Maria della Salute, right opposite, and sleeping with the sound of the waters of The Grand Canal lapping on the gondoliers outside!Just incredible. Great travel company and great holiday for all our family. Cannot recommend more highly.
December 2013, Kim (United Kingdom)
If you can stay at this apartment I recommend it because there are very few apartments in all of Venice with this amazing location and interior. It is half of the first floor of a large Palazzo with its own entrance on the main canal. It is next to the Regina hotel and has a view that is unmatched and positively amazing. We were three adults, two teenagers and a young couple. The place is huge with a breath taking marble entrance and private water taxi entrance, terrace with cushions on the canal, and a lovely courtyard. As others have written, two bedrooms with double beds are lovely, and two are smaller and quirky, so it is best for families rather than four couples. One bedroom with two twins with bath is off a central bedroom but it does have its own door that opens to the courtyard. The living room, central hall and one bedroom have canal views of passing gondolas. The apartment has a very large kitchen and dining room, the WiFi worked great. Checking in and out were efficient, staff helped us arrange a private boat tour and arrangements for the private water taxi from the airport, were easily arranged via their web site online. I doubt there is a hotel at any cost that has a better view and location. It was the highlight of our stay in Venice!
