It is a vivid, recently restored apartment with a good-sized double bedroom, a cosy living room with sofa bed, a nice bathroom with shower. The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped, it has oven, microwave, kettle, 4 burners gas stoves and all you need to cook a nice meal, if so desired. The door of the kitchen give access to the private backyard where a wooden table with chairs is found. There is air conditioning and Wi-Fi internet connection available at this apartment.
It is accessible in only 2 minutes’ walk from the Accademia Vaporetto stop. In the surrounding area you can find world-famous landmarks such as the Cà Rezzonico Museum, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Punta della Dogana and François Pinault Foundation, the Accademia Galleries and other interesting classic or contemporary art galleries. Many Venice connoisseurs and influent artists bought their house here as it is a picturesque, quiet and central area of Venice. This is also one of our favourite areas for eating or drinking out, while if you wish to cook at home there are plenty of open-air fruit, fish and vegetable market close by.
The apartment gain access from the prestigious main entrance of an historical building, sharing it with the caring owner that lives upstairs, thus quietness is guaranteed and requested!
It features high wooden beamed ceilings, antique furniture and refined interior details. The Orseolo is well above the high tide limit, thus there is no risk of flooding at all. Please note that while the living room is very bright, the back of the house might be a bit dark during winter or a rainy day. It is the perfect Venice apartment for romantic couples!

Perfectly situated beside Rio San Trovaso, close to San Barnaba, Zattere and Accademia, Orseolo was spacious and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed our stay there.

The apartment is on the ground floor overlooking the S Trovaso canal. Campo S Barnaba is close by and the Campo S Margherita only a little further. It is also midway between Accademia and Zattere waterbus stops and so it's very easy to get anywhere. One of the attractions of the apartment was its garden. It was certainly a shady spot but actually we so loved to watch the people going over the bridge and the boats passing up and down the canal that e never used it! The kitchen was good and everything worked well - similarly the bathroom. The apartment wa surprisingly quiet given all that was going on outside and there was no noise at night. We loved the place and would happily return. We were here 3rd - 17th September 2022.

Tranquillo, bellisima vista sul canale, comodo : gli appartamenti di Truly Venice sono sempre splendidi. L'appartamento Orseolo é inoltre fresco e silenzioso. Ci torneremo!

Great stay in an amazing location! Second time that we have stayed will not be the last. Wonderful owner, very helpful

The location near the Accademia, down a small side street, was perfect for easy walking access to San Marco, San Polo, San Croce and being in the Dorsoduro area provided a quiet and charming location. A grocery store (5 minute walk) provided everything we needed for meals when we wanted to cook in. Lovely private back garden area for a peaceful meal. Apartment was super clean, the email responses to our questions were timely and helpful. I would easily come back again and stay here if visiting Venice a second time...and a third.

This well-appointed apartment for two on the ground floor is ideally situated in the Dorsoduro area of this beautiful city. The location provides a very good starting point to explore Venice. The facilities are excellent with a great kitchen allowing you the choice to eat in, if you wish, with the added bonus for Venice of a table outside in an enclosed courtyard. Close to a canal and a busy bridge, you can experience the excitement of Venice from the comfort of the living room, Most importantly, the rooms are cool in summer and very peaceful and you feel completely safe. You are able to live as a Venetian - terrific. We would fully recommend this apartment for its good value, great comfort and superb location.

We loved being in Venice - despite the aqua alta and the cold. The apartment was well appointed, well located and clean - I would be happy to recommend it to colleagues and friends - and in fact I have already done that! I hope your holidays were good and that the New Year treats you well. Many thanks!

We loved this flat and would quite happily live there permanently! This was our sixth visit to Venice so we know parts of it pretty well, and for us this was the perfect location - close to our favourite restaurants, wine shops, ice cream shop and good vaporetto (Ca'Rezzonico/Accademia/Zattere) & airport boat connections. The flat was beautifully furnished and well equipped (allowing for the fact that holiday rental kitchens are never as good as your own for knives etc), it had air-conditioning in the bedroom and the rest kept quite cool as it didn't get direct sun. Although it is on the ground floor it is up a couple of steps and there was no sign of acqua alta damage, so I think it would be fine all year round (in fact the washing machine, shared with the owner upstairs, is on a lower level so that must be OK). We were also thrilled to have our own private courtyard where we could sit outside and we ate there whenever eating in. It is just off the main route from the accademia to Rialto, so with the windows open we could often hear groups of passers-by talking, plus the sounds of boats & boatmen on the canal outside; and when sitting outside at night there was some noise from the bar round the corner. But inside, with the windows shut, it was perfectly quiet. We would certainly recommend this flat and hope to stay there again. I would also highly recommend the agency Truly Venice who were extremely efficient and professional.

This was our second stay in a 'Truly Venice' apartment and we enjoyed it very much. The location in Dorsoduro is very convenient, although being right on the through route from the Rialto to accademia/St Marks. We found some excellent restaurants and bars close by. The living room is light and welcoming, internet connection was very good. The outside space was a nice addition, on the whole, an apartment to recommend; very Venetian.

We stayed a week in the Orseolo apartment in august 2011. It was even better than we thought it would be. The location was perfect: on a small canal that connected with the Grand Canal less than a block away, in a quiet residential neighborhood and very close to the accademia Vaporetto stop and the Zattere where we took walks, shopped for groceries, and watched the activities at the gondola workshop at the end of our street and canal. As soon as we woke up in the comfortable bedroom with windows that opened onto our small courtyard, we turned on the coffee pot in the kitchen and then opened the three large windows in the dining area of the living room to enjoy whatever activities were happening on the little canal a few feet from the windows. We loved to see the working boats, water taxis, and small private boats go by or stop to deliver supplies to the restaurant and shops across the canal from our apartment and to pick up the garbage people put out carefully early each morning and to sweep the sidewalks. It made us appreciate how much work it is to make daily deliveries and collections when canals are involved. The kitchen was delightful to look at as well as to use and all the appliances worked well. We were sorry to leave this great apartment when our week was over. We've already recommended the apartment to several friends. When we arrived in Venice, Pietro met us at the accademia vaporetto stop and helped us with our luggage and showed us everything we needed to know about the apartment and how things in it worked (TV, AC, washing machine, locks, etc.). He made us feel that we had a friend in Venice whom we could call on if we ran into problems. By coincidence, we ran into Pietro two more times during our visit when we were walking around. He is a real asset to the company!

Firstly, Truly Venice were marvelous to deal with. We are so glad we found them. Secondly, we absolutely loved staying in this apartment for our week-long anniversary celebration holiday in Venice. It is the first time we have stayed in an apartment and we'll never go back to hotels again. Orseolo is beautifully fitted out to make you feel you are in a home from home, plus it has the most adorable courtyard where you can eat and drink in complete privacy. It is in such a great location, close to the Accademia bridge and the main sites in Venice are a 10-15 min walk away. We found our local square had everything we needed from the supermarket, restaurants, cafes and museums. Not only that, it was so friendly that the local shopkeepers were soon calling out hellos to us as we passed by each day. We didn't want to leave and plan to go back again on our next anniversary. If you pick the Orseolo, you will be comfortable, relaxed and in a great part of Venice to enjoy your holiday. Do not hesitate to book.
