Part of a prestigious 17th Century historical palace facing the Grand Canal, the Grassi apartment is located in a quiet spot of the San Marco District, only one minute walk to the San Samuele Vaporetto stop (next to the renowned Palazzo Grassi) and only 3 minutes' walk to the Sant' Angelo Vaporetto stop, where the Alilaguna ferry from the airport also docks. The apartment is close to Campo Santo Stefano and the Accademia Bridge, with a large variety of restaurants, bars and shops for sophisticated palates.
Few Venice holiday rentals offer such a spectacular view on the Grand Canal and on some of its most renown palaces such as Cà Rezzonico and Cà Foscari! The best way to gain access to this dream home is coming by private water taxi in only 30 minutes pleasant ride through the lagoon from the Venice Airport (we can arrange that for you).
The large monumental stairway to the second floor is not steep at all, but if you have plenty of luggage or mobility problems there is also an elevator. The apartment is composed of a spacious entrance room, a gigantic living room with view on the Canal Grande, a luminous dining room, a large kitchen, three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and plenty of storage spaces .
The living area of the apartment is particularly prestigious: it features high wooden beamed ceilings, Terrazzo Veneziano flooring, antique furniture and tall windows with panoramic canal view. There is plenty comfortable sitting space and a good video/audio entertainment system. While the kitchen is dated it is very spacious and well equipped (large fridge, freezer, oven, kettle, Italian and American coffee maker, dishwasher, washing machine, 5-burners' stove, etc...). The two bedrooms facing on the northern side of the building, one double and one twin, share a brand new bathroom with Jacuzzi, while the third bedroom facing south on the Grand Canal have access to the pink-tiled bathroom with shower. The beds are new and truly comfortable, while the style of the furnishings is decidedly classic Venetian.
It includes amenities such as air-conditioning in every room, Wi-Fi internet connection, modern appliances and maid/waitressing service on request. The Grassi apartment accommodates comfortably 6 discerning guests, but there is also an extra single bed that can be prepared on request for the 7th guest at 10% extra price. It is suitable for all travelers but special care have to be taken to avoid damages to some antiques and valuable textiles. Spoil yourself and your friends/family at the Grassi apartment!

Our family of five had a great time staying in our apartment on the Grand Canal. The living room was enormous, with plenty of room for all of us to hang out and enjoy the view from the large windows. It was fun to watch all the boats go by and wave! The bedrooms were all air conditioned which was an absolute necessity in August! We liked the quiet location that still had easy access to all of San Marco and the San Samuel boat stop. We went to the two close by markets several times for small grocery items.August 2017, Michael (United States)
On the occasion of my wife birthday, we were looking for accommodation for five people at a prime location in Venice. Four out the five of us had been to Venice several times and we wanted something more spacious and less restricting than hotel rooms so we could do some self-catering as well as eating out. We had had good previous experiences of apartments in Santa Maria Formosa and near San Marco so were thinking mainly about apartments. After looking at the options, we settled on the Grassi apartment in the Palazzo Morolin opposite the Ca' Rezzonico/Palazzo Giustinian on the Grand Canal. This proved to be an excellent choice. The apartment is large ( entrance hall, large living/sitting room, dining room, three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine), located on the 2nd floor of a 17th century palace and only one minute from the San Samuele vaporetto stop ( Vaporetto no 2). We ate in twice, buying food at the Rialto market and local shops/supermarkets. On the other nights we visited good local restaurants. The apartment is about a 5 minute walk from the Accademia Bridge and 15 minutes from San Marco so also excellent to visit museums, galleries etc. From a financial standpoint, it is also probably cheaper than accommodating 5 people in three decent hotel rooms. If you want a good experience of Venice with fabulous Grand Canal views out of the sitting room/dining room windows and one of the bedrooms, give this place a thought.October 2016, Michael (London, UK)
Many thanks for all your help while we were in Venice. My friends and I had a great time and found the Grassi apartment exactly as described on your website. We have all been to Venice several times and this was one of our most enjoyable visits. Best WishesOctober 2016, Michael (United Kingdom)
Having used Truly Venice before and being very impressed with their arrangements, we booked week in the Grassi Apartment for the first week in June. Truly Venice arranged a water taxi for us from the airport and we arrived at the apartment after traveling down the Grand Canal under the Rialto Bridge. The apartment is on the Grand Canal and the views are stunning. The 2nd floor apartment is stunningly beautiful and also very light and airy. Everything that we needed was there and it was spotlessly clean. The water bus stop is only 2 minutes away but the area around the apartment is very quiet. There are some lovely local bars and restaurants 5 minutes away, and also a grocers and wine shop. A few minutes further and you are in Campo San Stefano with the crowds, cafes and restaurants. Plus it's only a leisurely 15 minutes to St Marks Square. We will definitely return through Truly Venice and would recommend the apartment to anyone who wants a lovely quiet apartment that's only minutes from all the tourist places.June 2016, David (United Kingdom)
We enjoyed staying in this apartment. It had a great view of the canal. We found the apartment building to be safe, quiet and peaceful, which was importantJune 2016, Margaret (United Kingdom)
I am emailing to thank you and Enrico again for helping to make our holiday in Venice so special. It was the first time that my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters had been to Venice, so we wanted it to be perfect for them, as we love the city so much. The Grassi apartment was wonderful, perfectly situated and wonderfully appointed. The service from Truly Venice was excellent, with a well designed website, prompt and personalised responses to our initial enquiries, very clear instructions on payment and directions, as well as on confirmations of payment, and your help with the one or two matters that emerged in the week- which was exemplary. Overall, your service was first class and I will be recommending your company to everyone who comments on our photographs on Facebook! We will definitely use Truly Venice again. We had a wonderful time in Venice. The Grassi apartment was fabulous! More than we expected! The furnishings are beautiful, the kitchen well stocked, and all the amenities we could ask. Great fun looking out on all the Grand Canal activities and a super easy walk to the vaporetto (which of course was especially good for my husband with his broken foot). We will recommend Truly Venice, and the Grassi apartment, to anyone who asks. Thanks so much for all your assistance.September 2013, Diane and Wil (United States)
The Grassi apartment is situated on the Grand Canal between the Accademia and Rialto bridges, so very central but not swamped by the tourist madness around St Mark's square. It is beautifully appointed with high ceilings, a mixture of antique and comfortable contemporary furniture, and has great views. It is a great base to explore Venice and come 'home' to relax and pretend you're a Venetian. We were really impressed by the service provided by Truly Venice before we arrived (very clear instructions) and during our stay: responsive, courteous (even when I rang at 11pm one time) and genuinely helpful. Thank you Daniela and Enrico!August 2015, Simon (United Kingdom)
We stayed at Grassi for a week in September this year and it was even better and more beautiful than we expected. One of our group of 5 (my husband) had broken his foot only 2 weeks prior to our vacation, but the convenience of an elevator and the nearby vaporetto stop (San Samuele) made it easy for him to get around. Everything was perfect and Daniela was extremely helpful. Her Truly Venice website made choosing an apartment easy, and the inclusion of floor plans is brilliant. Having a water taxi reservation in advance made everything easier and when we left, the taxi was at our vaporetto stop at exactly the time Daniela had arranged. All in all, great service, great location and great apartment made for lots of fun. We will definitely recommend Truly Venice to anyone and everyone!October 2015, Wil.R. (United States)
