the Foscarina apartment is a real home away from home with attractive designer furniture and contemporary art pieces
The Foscarina apartment is located in Dorsoduro, authentic and central location, only 3 minute walk from the San Toma' vaporetto stop and close to many excellent local restaurants and artisan's shop. There are numerous interesting sights to visit in the area such as the Frari church, Scuola Grande San Rocco, beautiful Campo San Polo, it is a short walk to the Galleria dell' Accademia or the relaxing Zattere water front. The district heart is Campo Santa Margherita, only 3 minutes walk from the Foscarina apartment: in the daytime you can find a nice open-air (fish)market, children playing, locals walking dogs and relaxing at the many nice caffes of the square; in the evening several trendy and classic bars and restaurants opens till midnight and after.
This first floor apartment is extremely well kept and cared for, as its owner (who loves to spend relaxing week-ends here) has furnished it with an eye for design and style. Noteworthy designer furniture pieces and contemporary style paintings add to this comfortable home an attractive feel. The apartment is composed of a master bedroom with four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom, a twin bedroom, a second bathroom with shower, a lovely living room with pull-out bed and an excellent kitchen equipped with every possible appliance including dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, kettle, toaster, American coffee maker. Recently renovated, it offers comfortably accommodation to up to 4 guests as its 80 square meters have been highly optimized and are very functional.
The Foscarina apartment is also equipped with top-notch technology equipment: Wi-Fi internet connection, flat-screen TV, DVD player, printer, efficient air-conditioning and heating system. There is a Nespresso coffee maker at the apartment (some capsules are provided at check-in, extra capsules can be bought from us upon request).
From the windows of the living room and master bedroom you can enjoy typical fragments of Venetian life: the canal below is crossed by picturesque little bridges that connect the borders of the Dorsoduro and San Polo districts. In fact the apartment is located on the north-end of the Dorsoduro district, a quiet spot much-loved by artists and Venice connoisseurs yet injected with life by the locals. It is also close to the Accademia Bridge, not far from San Marco, just few steps away from the famous Cà Foscari University and from one of Venice's oldest churches, the monumental "Chiesa dei Frari".
The apartment is highly recommended for both romantic escapes and family holidays. We recommend the Foscarina apartment also for long term rentals.

February 2018, Jean-Luc (France)
The pictures do not do the quality of the apartment justice. It is in a perfect location just 7 minutes walk to St Marks square but in a quiet area with excellent shops and restaurants within a short walk. The nearby squares are off the usual tourist routes which makes them great for a drink/meal. If you arrive by private water taxi you only have a few minutes walk. It is quite a few floors up but the view is amazing and it was a real treat at the end of the day to sit on the balcony and watch and listen to the gondolas go by. I just wish we had stayed longer. Truly Venice were excellent throughout the booking and I would definitely use them again.February 2018, Jean-Luc (France)
Lovely apartment in excellent location. We were very pleased with the location of this apartment. It was well equipped and we very much appreciated the air-conditioning (which was very efficient), and the Wifi. The apartment was very clean. We were met by Hannah at the nearest Vaporetto stop who showed us to the apartment. She gave an extremely good handover and gave us a map (to keep) on which she marked where the apartment was and a few other key places. Her English was perfect and she able to answer any questions we had - about the location, transport, places to visit etc. She was very helpful. My only disappointment was the seating in the apartment. There is a 2 seater sofa and a lovely chair but for 4 of us it was not quite enough. There were plenty of dining chairs, but sometimes at the end of the day we just wanted to "put our feet up" rather than sit at the table. Although we found the beds very comfy, we would have appreciated extra pillows. I would thoroughly recommend this apartment as a great place from which to explore Venice and was pleased with the service we received from Truly Venice.August 2016, Christine (United Kingdom)
Ideal apartment for exploring venice. We spent a lovely holiday in Venice at the Foscarina apartment and we were impressed by the professional and friendly way our booking was handled by Daniela and her team. This apartment is well equipped, comfortably furnished, clean and in a good neighbourhood. It is well located in Dorsoduro, away from the crowds of San Marco, but still in easy walking distance of the academia, Guggenheim and Rialto. It is conveniently close to the San Toma' vaporetto stop and surrounded by lovely restaurants, shops and beautiful squares, including Campo Santa Margherita where our young children could run around freely away from the canal side and we could sit in the sunshine. We will certainly use Truly Venice next time we visit Venice.April 2014, James (England)
We stayed in the apartment for four weeks, with our granddaughter, and some other friends visiting. The apartment is well equipped and serviced and so very conveniently situated, in a quiet area. We will go back any time if we want to visit Venice again.December 2014, Gideon (United Kingdom)
Stayed in the 'Foscarina' apartment in Venice managed by Truly Venice. We were met at the closest vaporetto stop by the lovely Enrico and escorted to our apartment and given all the instructions. The best apartment in our 3 week stay in Italy. Beautifully appointed and well equipped. We appreciated the air conditioning, wi-fi and to our surprise a lap top and printer!! Enrico was once again helpful booking a water taxi for us over the weekend for a Monday morning departure. We were very impressed not only with the apartment but the level of service given by Truly Venice. Would definitely use them again and would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone wanting a few days in Venice.July 2015, Mitchelll (Australia)
Foscarina is extremely comfortable and well equipped. Little extras like use of the PC and printer as well as nice crockery, glasses and quality furniture just make all the difference. The dishwasher didn't work when we arrived but a new one was installed a day later - great customer service ! Truly Venice was a pleasure to deal with in every aspect. We would stay at Foscarina again without hesitation. Perfect location, off the beaten track but still very central.September 2012, John (United Kingdom)
Foscarina was a beautiful, clean, comfortable home base in a lovely area of the city. Letizia was very helpful in getting us oriented. We had only one small problem with hot water the first day and Daniela responded so promptly with easy instructions on getting it working. There was a vaporetto stop very close by and it was easy to walk to so many wonderful places in the city: Ca' Rezzonico and the Accademia, Ponte di Rialto, Piazzale Roma and more. We loved our week there and would definitely stay again. Grazie mille!October 2012, Marcia (United States)
It was a very easy trip from the airport via water taxi to the drop-off point which was right next to the apartment. Our guide was very warm & friendly. She showed us all we needed to know within the apartment's facilities and gave us tips on where to do grocery shopping, catch ferries, restaurants, etc. Location was excellent, surrounded by some very good restaurants, cafes & bars. The facilities within the apartment were fantastic.March 2013, Ian & Louise (Australia)
This apartment is in a great position and is spacious, clean, attractive and well appointed. The bed was firm but comfortable with lovely sheets. Daniela and Jaquie from Truly Venice were wonderful - efficient and available. On arrival at the airport, we phoned and they told the taxi driver where to drop us off and Jaquie was waiting for us at the stop to take us to the apartment. They also gave us a late check out and booked the taxi for us to the airport. Restaurant recommendations and advice about the area all noted on a map by Jaquie was a great service. The apartment is away from the thronging tourists and just up from Tonolo - the best pastries and coffee in Venice !September 2013, Layer/Exporter (Australia)
