Overall we enjoyed our experience at a Truly Venice apartment. Especially commendable was the speed with which the staff found us an English-speaking doctor to make a house call when we experienced a medical emergency. Additionally, the ability to leave our luggage beyond the hour of check-out, the continually manned phone when we needed help or advice, and the follow up on minor problems in the apartment were appreciated. The staff is genuinely helpful and concerned.

The location is great and, despite some fears about the noise, it was always quiet, except for the bells which awakened one of our party frequently. The apartment is well equipped, with lots of towels and all the kitchen implements we could want. We appreciate the restaurant recommendations, both on the website and from the staff who met us.

Eden
Eden

Having been caught up in the volcanic ash cloud problem, we can say that the support and help we received from Truly Venice was absolutely superb. Daniela looked after us personally and ensured that we always had a roof over our head.

Truly Venice's apartments are superb, and the Eden apartment which we finally stayed in, is exactly what we like and will certainly call us back to Venice. It far surpasses the photos and description and was a home from home in this beautiful city. We would not hesitate to recommend it to others. It is comfortable, quiet and very convenient, with easy access to local restaurants, bars and shops (yet a peaceful space) with the relaxing luxury of its own garden, making you feel like you have moved to Venice yourself.

We would not visit Venice any other way than the Truly Venice way. Become a Venetian citizen yourself with this great company.

Best regards,

Serenissima
Serenissima

Dear Daniela,

Thank you very much for looking after us on our trip to Venice., May 2010. We were a party of four friends. We were originally booked into Dogaressa for 5 days but at the very last minute we were only able to stay in Dogaressa for first two days ( due to urgent work on the Palazzo, no fault of Truly Venice who had no notice). Daniela came up trumps with a very last minute arrangement for a three day stay in the beautiful Serenissima.

Dogaressa came up to our expectations. Good showers and comfortable beds. Of note we would say this is ideal for 4-6 people unless treveling with children who could be accommodated in the two ajoining bedrooms, the second ajoined bedroom with it's own bathroom has really small (short beds). The reason we booked Dogaressa was the private terrace on the Grand Canal. This really is a magical place to have a drink with really staggering views on the canal and was definitely worth paying for. When the work is finished this will be an ideal place in the warmer months as it has an outside courtyard which would be nice to have breakfast etc.

Serenissima is a true Piano Nobile in Palazzo on the Grand Canal (near St Toma) and very central. This is very large with no lesss than 3 sitting rooms, we only used the main drawing room which has five floor to ceiling windows opening out onto the balcony overlooking the Grand Canal. We never tired of observing the the activities of the canal. Though not a sitting terrace like Dogaressa there is plenty of room to stand and have a drink. As a big bonus we were not expecting we opted for the delightful Anna (cook) to prepare breakfast for us and we would very much reccommend this. Sitting in the rather grand dining room with a beautifully laid table was an excellent way to start the day. This room also has large windows overlooking the canal. If we used this apartment again we would definitely have Anna prepare dinner for us I'm sure it would be very special and a setting that would beat most restaurants. Another bonus was Cacum who lives in an upstairs bit of the Palazzo (very unobstrusive) he was also delightful and very helpful and insisted on acting as our Butler. He very soon realised that we liked tea after returning from our sightseeing and it was magically there and he brought our pre-dinner drinks on a silver tray etc. We were treated like honoured guests.

The kitchen is something else, this is equipped for serious banquets, we didn't cook and why would you want to when Anna will do it for you (you pay for the food) and for dinner I guess you also pay for her time but not sure. We used private water taxis as both have their own private water entrance. These are two of the more expensive apartments on Truly Venice list but when you look at trying to get the equivalent in a hotel it becomes a very good and quite frankly a better and cheaper alternative. We had three bedrooms one huge, so could accommodate 6 persons, however only two bathrooms (one ensuite the second semi ensuite ( accessible from bedroom and landing)so ideal for four of us, comfortable beds with good showers. There are some serious antiques and paintings here so not really suitable for small children. You can be assured Daniela and Truly Venice will look after you in our experience.

We would certainly use them again.

Many thanks again Daniela

We were particularly satisfied with the administration of our booking including the pre-arrival communication and on-site welcome.

The apartment was elegant and comfortable - with a quiet, attractive outlook in a secluded location.

Priuli
Priuli

We rented the apartment Priuli. We were extremely pleased with the accomodations. The apartment was centrally located and we could walk everywhere. The apartment was very modern with all the amenities. We were two couples and we each had our own bathroom. The kitchen was beautifully equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed cooking in it. We were very pleased with the staff member who to us to the apartment. She was very helpful recommending restaurants and attractions. I would highly recommend Truly Venice.

Calla
Calla

I found the website to be extremely user friendly - the best that I found. Information was clear and well presented - making a reservation was straightforward. Daniela replied promtly to e-mails and questions about travel arrangements so we were very relaxed about our arrival in Venice.

The Calla appartment with its private garden situated in the quiet streets of Cannaregio suited us very well as we were two couples travelling together. We were met at the Alilaguna ferry stop by Paulo who was welcoming and extremely helpful - taking time to make sure that we had all of the information that we needed.

The apartment was comfortable and well equipped and it was lovely to sit in the garden in the sun - a real heaven after a busy day walking around. There were good local shops (butcher/fish/bakery/ good wine from the barrel/supermarkets/local fruit market) and we were able to partly self cater using fresh local ingredients. We also found some good reasonably priced local restaurants.

Getting around the city was easy - either on foot or with our four day vaparetto pass which I would recommend.

The only improvement which I would suggest if space allowed was the provision of another chair in the sitting area as there were only three seats for four of us.

Many thanks for a marvellous time in Venice. We will be back and will certainly use Truly Venice again.

Altana
Altana

My husband and I spend 15 days in this wonderful apartment. We booked a water taxi through Truly Venice for both pickup at the train station and departure at the airport. The taxi was waiting for us upon arrival. A nice lady met us at the taxi stop and escorted us to our apartment. It was roomy, light with lots of windows and the most spectatular views! We'd open the windows and watch the gondolas passing on the canal below - many times with song. And the rooftop deck was perfect! This apartment is close to everything, yet quiet at night. There is no elevator, but we were fine with that. It had all the modern appliances you could ask for, tons of closet space, even lots of music CDs. We just loved it.
