» How to get from the airport Marco Polo to the apartment (and vice versa)

1. You may get a road bus to Piazzale Roma that departs just outside customs. Tickets can be bought at the information desk. It is a direct connection from the airport to Piazzale Roma that takes about 20 minutes; buses leave approximately every half hour. Here's the timetable
(cost €3/person)

At Piazzale Roma you need to take the vaporetto (waterbus) to the stop closest to the apartment in Venice Italy, outlined on the apartment description on our website. These are the vaporetto routes.
(Cost: € 6,50/person, travelling time ca. 60 min)

2. Otherwise you may take a public boat across the lagoon: the Alilaguna. We only recommend taking the Alilaguna if there is a stop nearby, please read the information a on the apartment description, to know if there is an Alilaguna stop close to the apartment.
(Cost: €12/person, travelling time ca. 60 min.)

3. Alternatively you may choose the classiest and most efficient way to get into Venice which is to take a pre-booked water taxi. It is slightly more expensive a solution. However, it is not only a way to reach the apartment, but a great way to start your holiday! This will take you just about as close to your apartment as you can get by canal. (Travelling time ca. 30 min.).
You can book the water taxi once you have confirmed your apartment booking.

€ 110 each way up to 4 people
€ 10 supplement for each person (if over 4)
€ 10 supplement from 21.00-7.00
maximum number of people: 10 (including one luggage per person)

The taxi departs at dock 13-14. It takes approximately a 7 minutes walk from the airport to the dock. Follow the white arrows on the map below. Please do not take a taxi other than the one you have booked, unless differently specified.

Please call our representative as soon as you landed to confirm your arrival at the airport.

» How to get from Treviso airport to the apartment (and vice versa)

If you're headed for Venice from Treviso, the easiest and cheapest way to get there is to take the connecting ATVO Eurobus service. Bus times coincide with Ryanair arrival and departures times and the fare is much cheaper than a taxi: only €5 one-way or €9 return. Here's the timetable
(Travelling time ca. 1 hour)

Tickets can be purchased at the ATVO counter in the airport and must be stamped it in the ticket-validation machine on the bus. Tickets from Venice to Treviso Airport can be bought at the ATVO ticket office in Piazzale Roma but we suggest buying a return ticket as the ATVO counter might be closed, if the plane leaves early in the morning. (Sometimes ticket can also be bought on the bus).

The end of the line is the Piazzale Roma, where you can either take the vaporetto (waterbus) that departs in front of the train station to the stop closest to the apartment in Venice, outlined on the apartment page (Cost € 6,50/person, travelling time ca. 30 min.) or you may choose to take a pre-booked water taxi (Travelling time ca. 15 min.) You can book the water taxi once you have confirmed your apartment booking.

BY CAR

» How to get into Venice by car?

It is not difficult to reach Venice by car as it is cleary sign posted. On highways A4 from west or east, A13 until you reach Padova and then A4 from the South, or A27 from the North.

Unfortunately, the Mestre Tangenziale (ring road) is one of the busiest stretches of the Italian road network and very often there are delays and queues at the motorway toll booths.

Once you have arrived close to Venice you will see the Ponte della Libertà (the Liberty Bridge) which is 3,9 kilometres long and totally straight. It connects Venice to the mainland. Always observe the speed limits posted, never stop on the bridge and always be careful when driving. Follow the signs for Venice and you will arrive at Piazzale Roma (P.le Roma) which is just as far as you can get into Venice by car.

CAR PARKS

There is the Tronchetto car park which you can see on your right hand after the Liberty Bridge just before getting to Piazzale Roma. There is a large P sign.
