» In what differs Truly Venice from a Hotel?

We offer fully holiday homes in Venice where you may enjoy your personal space, be more flexible and independent, while taking advantage of the avilability of a hotel type services, such as linen and cleaning service or restaurant bookings. Here you'll discover total comfort of living at home and experience a Truly Venetian way of living!

» What is the minimum rental period & when can I arrive?

Generally the minimum rental period is of 3 nights, although some apartments may be available for daily rental. You will find the minimum rental period for each apartment on our website. Essentially, the longer you stay the more you save. You will note that shorter periods are proportionally more expensive due to fix costs of cleaning, check in, check out etc, whereas longer periods are usually more convenient.

» Is the Rental Fee all inclusive?

The Rental Fee is inclusive of electricity, gas, water, heating and air-conditioning (if applicable) and post stay cleaning costs. On arrival your bedroom will be ready for use, and you will be provided with clean sheets and towels as well as an extra set of clean sheets and towels for four days of your stay.

Please note that for stays of more than 14 days all utilities such as electricity, gas, water, heating and air-conditioning (if applicable) are to be paid separately either in cash or by credit card debit at the end of your stay. Furthermore, the Rental Fee is inclusive of one set of clean sheets and towels per week per person and post stay cleaning costs.

» Will a maid service be available?

Additional cleaning services, sheets & towels may be available upon your request, the cost of which is to be paid separately, either in cash at the end of your stay or by credit card. Pease let us know your wishes at the time of your booking, in order for us to make all necessary arrangements to meet your needs and customize our service offer based on your desires.

» What sort of facilities can I expect?

All our apartments feature at least one bathroom and a kitchen (or kitchenette) which is equipped with a full range of utensils, crockery and appliances. Usually you'll also find the basic ingredients for cooking such as salt, sugar, pepper and oil. Our bathrooms are outfitted with two towels per person as well as toilet paper.

We are pleased to satisfy your special requests of wine or food, for instance fresh seasonal fruit, thus please don't hesitate to contact us for further information.

» How can I find out if the apartment is available?

You may request the availability of an apartment on our website in the right hand side on the relevant apartment page.

There are two alternative methods of placing a reservation request, depending on the apartment chosen: Instant Availability Check and Request Availability.

» Why & how do I have to pay a Security Deposit?

As the name reveals, this deposit acts as security for all parties involved, the Holidaymaker, the Property Owner and Property Solutions.

The Security Deposit must be paid at arrival before receiving the keys to the apartment, either in cash (Euro) or by credit card, to the Property Owner or a representative of Property Solutions. The Security Deposit will only be refunded upon departure once an inspection of the apartment has been completed. The Security Deposit will not be debited on your card unless the apartment suffers any loss, damage or theft during your stay.

Booking


» What is meant by Instant Availability Check & how does it work?

Before placing a booking you must ensure that the chosen apartment is available for the dates requested. Once you have inserted your planned arrival and departure dates on our website you will immediately receive confirmation as of whether the apartment is available for the dates that you have requested. If the apartment is available you may proceed with your booking using the Booking Form provided online.

» What is meant by Request Availability & how does it work?

If availability cannot be checked in real time, you may request the availability by filling out the little form provided on our website. You will receive an e-mail from our staff within maximum two working days, as to the availability of the apartment chosen. In this e-mail you will find a link to follow which allows you to proceed with your booking using the Secure Booking Form provided online. This form must be completed within 2 working days of your receipt of the written confirmation of availability.

» How do I reserve a Truly Vnice apartment?

To reserve your apartment in Venice you will be required to send us the completed Secure Booking Form, and pay the Rental Deposit, 40% of the Rental Fee, when completing the Booking Form, if not otherwise stated. You will then receive written confirmation of your booking either by e-mail or by fax, once the relevant rentals fees and the completed Secure Booking Form is received by us.

» When must the Rental Fee balance be paid?

Generally the Rental Balance (60%) must be received no later than 4 weeks prior to your stated arrival. Some Rental Balances however, must be settled in cash at arrival. Please follow the instructions provided on your Booking Form.

If you make a booking within less than 4 weeks prior to your stated arrival, the entire Rental Fee (or a copy of the bank's receipt of the payment in the case of bank transfer) must be received within 2 working days of your receipt of written confirmation of availability.

» How much is the Security Deposit?

The Security Deposit is €400, unless otherwise stated. Long term rentals excluded.

Arrival & Departure


» How do I reach the apartment?

On our website, you will find on the description of each apartment, the closest vaporetto (water bus) stop to the apartment outlined. The vaporetto can be taken from the airport (Marco Polo), from the railway station (Ferrovia, Santa Lucia) as well as from Roma Square (piazzale Roma). At the vaporetto stop closest to the apartment rented you will be met by either the property owner or one of his/her representatives and taken to the apartment.

» When & where do I receive/return the keys?

The keys will be handed over directly at the apartment, but only if the Security Deposit has been paid. The keys will be collected by the property owner or one of his/her representatives at the apartment upon departure.

» Why should I inform you on my means of transport?

You are kindly requested to inform us no later than 7 days prior to arrival, about your intended arrival time, the flight/train number ecc. in order for us to organize the handover of the apartment key and ensure that your arrival in Venice is as comfortable as possible.

» How do I get from the airport to the apartment?

There are three main alternatives:

The most comfortable, classy but a little pricey way is by water taxi which takes you directly to you apartment. They may be booked through us or found directly at the airport. The trip will take about 25 minutes. Please note that the taxi driver has to be paid in cash at the end of the trip, also when you book it through us.

Alternatively you may take a road bus to Piazzale Roma (Roma Square) and from there you may take the vaporetto (water bus). The trip will take about 50 minutes.


Otherwise you may also take the water shuttle form the airport to Venice that does the same route as the water taxi but only stops in one place. From there you may then take the vaporetto (water bus). The trip will take about 50 minutes.

» How do I get from the railway station to the apartment?

The railway station is conveniently located.

You may choose to take a water taxi which takes you directly to you apartment the best way to explore the city in full privacy (although the most expensive!). The trip will take about 10-15 minutes and they may be booked through us or found directly at the railway station. Please note that the taxi driver has to be paid in cash at the end of the trip, also when you book it through us.

Alternatively you may take the vaporetto (water bus) which you will see in front of the station. The trip will take about 20-30 minutes.

Depending on where the apartment is located and how much luggage you have to carry you may as well choose to go by foot.

» Where can I buy the ticket for the vaporetto? How much does it cost?

Tickets can be bought from authorized retailers all around Venice. A single course ticket can also be bought directly on the vaporetto.

There are various tickets with various validity times such as:

Ticket valid for 60 min. - € 6,00 (approximately)
Ticket valid for 12 hours - €13,00 (approx.)
Ticket valid for 24 hours - €15,00 (approx.)
Ticket valid for 36 hours - €20,00 (approx.)
Ticket valid for 48 hours - €25,00 (approx.)
Ticket valid for 72 hours - €30,00 (approx.)

» Can I pay by credit card?

Yes, we accept VISA and MasterCard

» Can I pay by bank transfer?

Yes, our bank details can be found on the Booking Conditions on our website. You are required to send us the bank's receipt of the payment either via e-mail or fax. If we have not received the bank's receipt of the payment within 2 working days of your receipt of the written confirmation of availability, availability of the apartment cannot be guaranteed. Please note that all payments made by bank transfer will be charged an extra €15 fee to cover bank charges related to the receipt or refund of your money.

» Can I choose to pay in Swiss Francs?

Yes, you may pay in Swiss Francs although all prices are advertised and fixed in Euros. If you wish to do so, you will be advised of the prevailing exchange rate of that day in Swiss francs at the time of your booking.
