An incredibly charming historic residence with one of the largest and most beautiful gardens of the city, located in the prestigious Dorsoduro East. Only 3 minutes walk to the well-known Salute Church, 3 minutes to the Accademia Bridge and 2 minutes to the Zattere waterfront, this house is located close to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum. Many Venice connoisseurs and influent artists bought their house here as it is a picturesque area away from the crowd.
The San Vio Giardino apartment is a rare find, embodying the real essence of Venice, with traditional structure and antique furniture. The caring owner added some technology to enhance comfort, such as internet connection, air conditioning, big flat screen TV, new kitchen appliances.
The main entrance is from the exclusive garden which measures roughly 500 square meters and has a deck with table and chairs for a lovely meal outdoor plus few deck chairs if you like relaxing outdoor. The house has a truly venetian ground floor living room that leads to the first floor through a nice stairway. Here the house is distributed around the central room that give access to living, dining, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms.
There is one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a second double bedroom that can be turned into a twin room with en-suite bathroom and the third room is a double room as well with en-suite bathroom. Hence, there are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in total. The house is perfect for 6 people.

Out experience with Truly Venice was overall a good one. The apartment had a very old world charm about it as well as a modern elevator to the second floor. We also had our own, very large garden, which had much potential but was not tended to. Thus there were mosquitoes around from the grasses and weeds in the garden. We were met by a Truly Venice rep at the water taxi stop and brought to our apartment and given an excellent tour of the apartment as well as a great map of Venice and some excellent information (eg. Where can we find a grocery store?) that we all really appreciated.
The aparment itself worked out very well for the 6 of us. It was not on a canal but was tucked away in a residential neighborhood and was very close to the the fantastic fireworks display that we experienced on our last night in Venice. The kitchen had all of the modern ameneties.
I would definitely rent an apartment again through Truly Venice as they did offer very good customer service.
