The Calla is an absolutely charming and newly renovated ground floor apartment with garden view. It is part of the Villa Giardino Segreto in the Cannaregio district in Venice which has a wonderful and very rare private garden (shared with the other units in the house) with a small vineyard.
It is a functional 2 bedroom apartment that has been furnished with great care. One of the two beds can be divided to make a twin bedroom whereas the other cannot be divided and is only suitable for people who really love each other as it is 1,4 meters wide.
The kitchen is well equipped; there is a two burner stove, a microwave, a kettle and a dishwasher. The apartment is completed by two bathrooms, each of which has a shower. There is a tv in the living room as well as one in the bedroom and there are lots of books at the apartment. Each room is air-conditioned and there is a wireless internet connection.

I found the website to be extremely user friendly - the best that I found. Information was clear and well presented - making a reservation was straightforward. Daniela replied promtly to e-mails and questions about travel arrangements so we were very relaxed about our arrival in Venice.
The Calla appartment with its private garden situated in the quiet streets of Cannaregio suited us very well as we were two couples travelling together. We were met at the Alilaguna ferry stop by Paulo who was welcoming and extremely helpful - taking time to make sure that we had all of the information that we needed.
