The Cornaro apartment is located in a quiet street in the authentic Castello district, it is a newly restored second floor apartment and is extremely well equipped. Ample windows on both sides and high ceilings ensure an extraordinary quantity of light. Traditional Venetian architectural elements such as wooden beams and terrazzo flooring have been expertly blended with fresh and elegant contemporary style furnishings.
Renting this house you will experience living like a local as the owner herself lives here during part of the year. This area of the city is particularly loved by Venice residents because it is not touristy at all and very well serviced. Fast connection with the airport is guaranteed by the Alilaguna boat service that stops 4 minutes walk from the house. Next to the dock there is also the supermarket. San Marco Square is only 10 minutes walk away and the famous S. Giovanni e Paolo Church is behind the corner. If you explore the surroundings you will find many hidden osterie and trattorie where the traditional food and drinks are offered at affordable prices.
The living room is spacious and the kitchen is a pleasure to see and to use: dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, extra-large fridge, oven, microwave, blender, four stoves, stainless steel cooking area are only some of the features available. The bedrooms, a double and a twin (on the pictures there is only one single bed because the landlord has only one kid, but during the rental season there are two singles), accommodate the most demanding guests also for long term lettings: there is an office corner with desk, wi-fi internet connection, printer and other basic equipment. A nice bathroom with full size fitted shower and heated tower rail completes the picture.
The neutral colours and light ambiance makes for a very comfortable and modern contemporary feel.

We really enjoyed our stay in Venice and the Cornaro apartment was, for us , ideally located being in a very quiet district within very easy reach of very good restaurants and it was very light and airy -- we thoroughly recommend Agli Artisti in Ruga Giuffa -- and late at night we always felt very safe when walking despite not seeing anybody.
Having a supermarket within a few minutes walk was also excellent and of course the drop of point for our boat to and from the airport was also just alongside the shop with the best view in the world !! (click here to read more...)
