The apartment is located at the Arsenale, the glorious Serenissima Republic navy harbor, where for centuries was built the most powerful fleet of the world. To go to San Marco Square, just walk along the splendid Riva Degli Schiavoni waterfront and in 6-7 minutes you will be in front of the Palazzo Ducale.
Situated on the 1st floor, the layout includes a large living room area with a sofa bed, a corner kitchen with a small dining table, a double bedroom that can be closed with a sliding door, a bathroom with shower and a very nice terrace overlooking St. Marks Basin! The big closet in the living room hides the TV, stereo, DVD and other equipment.
This cozy home is characterized by large windows that literally inundate the living room with light. From all the windows can be enjoyed a wide open view on the Arsenale entrance canal. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped.
From the panoramic terrace one can enjoy breakfast amidst the silence of Venice. The perfect location and ambience for a romantic couple?

We stayed at the Alcova apartment (next to the Arsenale). The place is ideal for two but could accommodate three guests.
Great location next to the Arsenale/Biennale exhibition; two minutes from the Arsenale Vaporetto stop with good connections to all major areas of Venice (including the Alilalunga line to/from Marco Polo airport. The apartment is well equipped (including TV/DVD player) and has a sonny, south-facing terrace with views over the Canale de Arsenale and the lagoon.
Booking procedure and 'check-in' very easy and reliable.
No real negatives and only two issues to note: (a) the stairs to the apartment (1st floor) are a little steep, hence not really ideal for elderly people or those bringing huge suitcases; and (b) there is no telephone landline and no WiFi, which, depending on your view is either good or bad.
We would certainly recommend this place and would consider booking again.
