There are very few Noble Floors in Venice that embody all you could desire of a luxury accommodation. This 16th Century Palazzo has among the most breathtaking views of the Grand Canal, a private water entrance that enables you to reach the house by water taxi (highly recommended!), precious Venetian furnishings and paintings while offering maximum comfort. The house is air-conditioned and has internet connection. Located in the heart of the historical center of Venice, close to San Tomà and the Rialto area, in the San Polo district which is our favorite part of the city for authentic Venetian dining and shopping experiences.
It is complex to describe the beauty of this house, the atmosphere and the genuine venetian hospitality is simply unique. The house is very bright thanks to the large windows on the Grand Canal and exceptionally well preserved. The stuccoes on the walls portraying mythological scenes, the inimitable terrazzo flooring, the beautiful fabrics and precious art works add to the charm of this palazzo and creates the atmosphere of old times?
The Serenissima apartment is located on the second floor and is divided into a living and sleeping area. There are three comfortable and air-conditioned bedrooms, one gracefully furnished double bedroom with a small balcony looking onto the private court yard of the palazzo, a second double bedroom which can become a twin on request (both of these rooms have their en-suite bathroom with shower) and there is a third bedroom with a French sized bed (1.25m wide perfect for 1 person) and a third bathrooms with a gorgeous marble tub. The house is ideal for 5 guests but an extra bed can be added if your party is composed of 6 people.
You will be welcomed in the striking entrance hall that leads to the splendid and comfortably furnished living rooms with ample windows and full length balcony on Grand Canal. We can arrange a delicious breakfast to be served (on request) in the elegant dining room. The owners are passionate hosts and have a fabulous cook that can prepare a mouthwatering Italian lunch or dinner for you (must be planned in advance). This is pure indulgence in an idyllic setting!
The kitchen is professionally equipped to the highest standard, there is a laundry room with a washer and dryer as well as an office room with Wi-Fi internet connection.
The Serenissima Palace can also be accessed by foot from the private court yard on the rear of the property. The San Tomà traghetto (Gondola) is only 1 minute away from the house which enables you to cross the Grand Canal and reach the San Marco district in less than 3 minutes.

Dear Daniela,
Thank you very much for looking after us on our trip to Venice., May 2010. We were a party of four friends. We were originally booked into Dogaressa for 5 days but at the very last minute we were only able to stay in Dogaressa for first two days ( due to urgent work on the Palazzo, no fault of Truly Venice who had no notice). Daniela came up trumps with a very last minute arrangement for a three day stay in the beautiful Serenissima.
Dogaressa came up to our expectations. Good showers and comfortable beds. Of note we would say this is ideal for 4-6 people unless treveling with children who could be accommodated in the two ajoining bedrooms, the second ajoined bedroom with it's own bathroom has really small (short beds). The reason we booked Dogaressa was the private terrace on the Grand Canal. This really is a magical place to have a drink with really staggering views on the canal and was definitely worth paying for.When the work is finished this will be an ideal place in the warmer months as it has an outside courtyard which would be nice to have breakfast etc.
Serenissima is a true Piano Nobile in Palazzo on the Grand Canal (near St Toma) and very central. This is very large with no lesss than 3 sitting rooms, we only used the main drawing room which has five floor to ceiling windows opening out onto the balcony overlooking the Grand Canal...
