The Loredan is a sophisticated Venetian house on three levels with a truly charming private courtyard located in a quiet street of the Dorsoduro District.
It is a really unique home: spacious, full of natural light, furnished with precious antiques, fabrics and objects belonging to Owner’s family for centuries.
In particular the living room is divided from the private courtyard only by two ancient marble columns and a glass wall, conferring the feeling of a large open-air living room. In the courtyard are found interesting antique iron and stone details, a fireplace and a good size table with sun umbrella, for great out-door breakfasts or candle-light dinners!
From the courtyard you can access also the newly renovated steel kitchen where there is a large fridge with freezer, oven, microwave, kettle, 5 burners gas stove, dishwasher, beside all the basic equipment of a modern kitchen. The ground floor is completed by a small but stylish toilet and a small entrance room.
A gorgeous wooden and metal staircase leads to the first floor, composed of: the main bedroom with a stunning antique four poster bed, a smaller but very charming bedroom with a twin-size bed (120x190cm), and a renovated bathroom with large shower. In the attic floor there is a third bedroom with a beautiful queen size bed and a luxurious bathroom with bathtub. In total this apartment sleeps comfortably 5 people. The rooms are enriched by a selection of interior details from the Owner’s family collection, expertly curated to confer that sophisticated flair of the Venetian eclecticism.

About the location: the general vibe in Campo Santa Margherita area is creative, youthful, relaxed and not touristy at all. During the daytime you can find a genuine open-air market for fruit, vegetable and seafood where locals and residents usually shop. In the lively square there are children playing, locals walking dogs, good shops and cafes. In the evening several bars and restaurants open till about midnight.

May 2023, Richard (UK) The Loredan is stylish, quirky, comfortable and very Venetian. It has an amazing outdoor space that's perfect for breakfast or drinks in the evening, a fully equipped kitchen and 3 toilets/2 bathrooms. The beds and the pillows are so comfy and the apartment was all spotlessly clean! I say apartment but its actually on 3 floors, giving you plenty of space. The vaporetto stop is a 5 minute walk which is great and makes it really easy to explore the whole Venice without tiring yourself out too much! The apartment is just off Campo San Margherita, which is a bustling square filled with cafes, bars and restaurants - it is quite noisy until late but we really didn't mind it. All in all, it was a real pleasure to spend out holiday in such lovely accommodation. The guys at Truly Venice were great too. Anna, who met us from our water taxi was lovely and told us everything we needed to know. And because we weren't flying home until quite late, they even let us leave our luggage and use the apartment the next day as no one was booked in after us. We would definitely stay in the Loredan again and we would absolutely book our next holiday to Venice with Truly Venice!
Lovely apartment and great location! We are three Australian friends who travelled to Venice in early October. The Loredan apartment was absolutely ideal for us - clean, comfortable, good amenities, ideal location (away from the crowds) and lovely space. It is as good as the pictures suggest and excellent value for money. It felt like we were living in the community. The very nearby Santa Margheita Square has a lovely local feel, as well as good bars and restaurants. We love to explore on foot and nowhere was too far. The Truly Venice team were really responsive and helpful - organising water taxis and even a booking at one of our favourite restaurants. Highly recommended!
We had a great stay at the Loredan. The pictures do not lie. Close to the market square where we could buy fresh fruits and vegetables every morning (not sunday). The patio was regularly used for enjoying our breakfast. Great location in general. Helped us discover a for us new part of Venice. Less tourism, more local life, so to speak. Loredan has plenty of antiques we continuously kept discovering during our week-long stay. The antiques and artwork gave Loredan the additional valuable local touch we were looking for. Having two bathrooms is a great asset!
This lovely eclectic apartment gave a lived in feel (instead of the syndicated look of other accommodation we investigated) and is in a quiet part of the City with easy walking distance of vaporetto stops/Piazzale Roma etc. Supermarkets well stocked, restaurants in the square (of variable quality!!), Cash machine available, easy walk to the Zattere etc. 'Il Doge' ice cream recommended ++. We stayed there with our 2 grown up daughters and our 8 month grandson (had to arrange a travel cot through the Rep) and loved the living room and eating out in the courtyard. The 3 bedrooms were comfortable and quiet and the 2 bathrooms were appreciated (although plug arrangement interesting!!). The kitchen is certainly unusual and the washing up bowls are situated in a tricky place for folks over 280 cms tall! All routine kitchen equipment available. Truly Venice Rep was really helpful on arrival with some great tips (including breakfast places!!). Walk to Piazzale Roma really easy (7-8 minutes) or Ca Rezzonico (vaporetto stop on the Grand Canal) also easy (5 mins walk). For a similarly sized group, we would recommend Loredan especially given that not many of us want to cook on holiday!!
Dear Truly Venice, Thank you for arranging this unusual and well sited property for myself, my wife (for her 60th birthday!!), my 2 daughter and my 8 month grandson. My daughters arrived first and really appreciated the Rep's meeting them at the apartment, showing them around, leaving maps and general advice, and checking that all the appliances worked. Please may you tell the property owner that we really enjoyed our time in her eclectic accommodation and would happily return if we return to Venice with friends in the future! The apartment was just as photographed, a three storey apartment in a quiet area just off a bustling square with everything you could need nearby. It was well equipped; beautifully decorated, 2 bathrooms plus a downstairs loo; the hot water worked without problems. It was ideal. Truly Venice is also brilliant and I would definitely book with them again! Thanks for a great stay.

My husband, myself and another couple had the most wonderful stay in Venice and the location of the Loredan was perfect. And what a fun apartment to stay in with lots of quirky additions. I would also like to pass on my huge thanks to Thomas and Hannah, who couldn't have been more helpful. We had flight issues on the way out and it was so reassuring to know that Thomas was still able to meet us off the boat despite a big alteration in arrival timing. I also want to say a special thanks to Thomas for his brilliant tips on places to eat near us. We visited each and every one of them, twice in some instances and also recommended them to friends who were also staying in Venice. My two week stay in Lorendan was more than I ever anticipated. The exceptional service and attention to detail provided by the rental agents, Truly Venice Apartments, made this adventure a breeze! Once I walked in the door, I knew I was home. I had a long list of questions, but before I could even ask them, she had already covered everything. The home was so Venetian with so much character. I truly felt I was living in Venice. The garden was welcoming. It was large, private, comfortable and well furnished. I ate dinners out there and had my tea each morning. Cocktails and antipasto in the garden before dinner were a nice time to catch up on our days & just relax & talk. The neighborhood was ideal...NOT flooded with tourists, not crowded yet with all the amenities you would want: local cafes, great restaurants, quality stores. I rate Truly Venice Apartments a 10 and Loredan a 10 as well! I am so looking forward to working with them again. Truly an exceptional experience!
It was everything in the photo. It was situated in a perfect location. Walking distance from the bus station. We could not fault it. We will be booking Truly Venice again. The agent who came round with the keys was great gave us loads of information asked us if there was anything we needed. It was a welcome sight walking into the apartment it was very cool especially with the air-conditioning.
